Shelter Rockets are back and better than ever!
the weather said no beach. we said fine, we’ll take the mall, the basement, and a Safwa run instead.
NN last Friday: rained out, not shut out. halaqah hit different in the MOTW basement, food hit different at Safwa, and the brotherhood hit different regardless of the forecast.

This past week, YM Shelterrock, YM Shelterrock Valley Stream, YM Shelterrock East Meadow, and YM NYIT came together for an unforgettable Six Flags trip! 🎢

From racing down roller coasters to sharing good food and even better company, it was a day full of laughter, energy, and pure brotherhood. Alhamdulillah for the amazing turnout and the reminder that some of the best memories are made when we come together as one ummah. 🤝

Grateful for every brother who showed up and made this trip one to remember. More to come, in sha Allah! 🔥

*Next Saturday, August 1st, YM Shelter Rock, YM East Meadow, YM Valley Stream, and YM NYIT* are collaborating for a joint trip to Six Flags Great Adventure!

🕗 Event Time: 8:00 AM – 10:00 PM
💵 Cost: $50 per person (includes park admission, transportation, food, and parking)

Important reminders:

* ✅ *Registration is first come, first served* ; spots are not guaranteed, so *DM your NNC ASAP to receive the registration code.*

Alhamdulillah, this winter Young Muslims | Shelter Rock and Young Muslims | Deer Park collabed on their first (annual??) Winter Ski Trip Retreat. Almost 40 people were packed into that cabin and a ton of new bonds were formed, squashing the Nassau and Suffolk beef. This trip proved once again that it is possible to balance the remembrance of Allah, appreciating His creation, and strengthening brotherhood.

🌧️⛳ Rain couldn’t stop us this week at YM Shelter Rock!

We spent the day at Monster Mini Golf, enjoyed some friendly competition, grabbed some boba, had a short halaqah, prayed Maghrib together, and wrapped up the night by eating in as brothers.

Alhamdulillah, it was a great reminder that brotherhood isn’t about where you are it’s about who you’re with. May Allah continue to strengthen our bonds, keep our hearts connected, and bless us with many more moments together. 🤍
