Kindly note that the first Eid Jamaat at SRIC has been moved to 6:00 am.

We would also like to remind you to be on time for the Eid Jamaat at the Park which will take place at 8:30 am and there will only be one Jamaat.

Wish you all an easy fasting on this auspicious Day of Arafah and look forward to seeing you at Iftar at SRIC and at Eid Salah at North Hempstead Beach Park.

Within the “best ten days” of Dhul Hijjah, the Day of Arafah (9th of Dhul Hijjah) is widely regarded as the most significant.

The Prophet ﷺ said that fasting on the Day of Arafah expiates the sins of the previous year and the coming year, and it is the day when Allah SWT frees more people from the Fire than any other day. It is also the day when Allah completes the religion, as mentioned in the Qur’an (Surah Al-Ma’idah 5:3), revealed during the Farewell Hajj at Arafah.

We encourage you all to fast on this auspicious day and join us for a special du’ua at 8 PM and for Iftar. Dinner will follow Maghreb prayer in sha Allah!

May Allah SWT accept our du’uas, forgive our shortcomings, and wrap us in His infinite mercy on this blessed Day of Arafah!
