Together, we’ll make room for memories, share stories, and celebrate the love we carry forward. Whether you have someone special in mind or simply want to lend a hand, you’re welcome to be part of creating this remembrance.

Join us this Sunday, November 1, for our annual Memory Tree service at First Unitarian Church of Rochester. Together, we’ll honor and remember loved ones who have died, making space for the grief, gratitude, and love we carry.

Worship with us at 9:15 or 11:30 a.m., or join us online at live.rochesterunitarian.org. Stay for Connection, immediately following the 9:15 a.m. service, for time to gather and connect with one another.

If you would like a loved one’s name included in the litany, please submit it by Wednesday, October 28.

Whether you come with a name to share or simply wish to be present, you are welcome.

Mindful Monday | What We Carry

“We must go slowly, we have so little time.”

Yesterday’s sermon from Rev. Keith Kron, with a reading from Loretta Ross’s "Calling In", offers a question to carry into this week: What becomes possible when we slow down enough to listen?

When so much needs to change, pausing can feel difficult. But making room for curiosity, connection, and each other can be part of how we move forward.

If you joined us online for Sunday’s service, you probably heard a lot of static, and we’re sorry about that. Thank you for sticking with us.

The good news: we found the cause and it’s been fixed, so the next livestream should sound the way it’s supposed to.

We’re also cleaning up the audio on yesterday’s recording so you can hear the service the way it was meant to be heard. It’ll be posted as soon as it’s ready, and we’ll share a link here when it is.

When change feels urgent, how do we find the patience to move with care?

Join us Sunday, October 25, at First Unitarian Church of Rochester for “We Must Go Slowly, We Have So Little Time,” with Rev. Keith Kron.

Thirty years ago, a civil rights activist shared words that stayed with Rev. Keith: lasting change requires patience, even when we feel we can’t wait. The activist was speaking about social justice, but the lesson reached into everyday life.

Together, we’ll explore where social change and our own lives intersect, including the hope, frustration, and messiness of working toward something better.

Bring your questions, your longing for change, and whatever you’re carrying. There’s a place for you here.
