Tomorrow evening at Immanuel!

Join ROC Co-op Connections for this Solidarity Economy-focused Juneteenth event. Free for the Rochester community! REGISTER HERE: http://bit.ly/4abI1R3

Roc Co-op Connections is a group of local folks interested in learning about and promoting the development of more cooperatives in Rochester including worker co-ops, housing co-ops, and buyer’s clubs, etc. They have invited one of their mentors, Ron Hantz, to Rochester to speak for a Juneteeth event! They hope to leverage his visit to learn more about becoming a cooperative network or incubator while also providing the opportunity for him to share his expertise on Black Cooperative history (and present!) and his vision of conscious community development with the larger Rochester community.

Ron Hantz is the founder of the Network for Developing Conscious Communities (NDCC) in Washington, DC. He has extensive knowledge of Black cooperative history, significant experience in cooperative housing development, and, through NDCC, offers in-person and virtual Black Co-oponomics Academies in DC and Baltimore, organizes the National Conference on the Black Cooperative Agenda, offers webinar series on rotating topics of interest, provides office space for new groups, and supports youth development in after school programs.

Free grocery pop up this Saturday June 13th, starts at 3pm and runs until all supplies are gone! We'll be setup at Jefferson Terrace Park, at the corner of Dr Samuel McCree Way and Jefferson Ave

RMAN has been working with a large coalition of other local, grassroots mutual aid groups and this pop up was organized by that coalition. We're very excited to be building the capacity of our mutual aid network with them, and looking forward to spending some time with our neighbors on Saturday!

Happy National Pride Month! We are proud to be affirming and welcoming.
