Ladies, let's connect, grow, and dive deeper into God’s Word together! Alongside our weekly daytime Bible study, held Tuesdays at 10 AM, we have two evening Bible studies for women:

THURSDAY NIGHT STUDY
Learning Life Principles from the Women of the Bible
- Audience: Women of all ages
- Leaders: Tina Medeiros and Malorie Wright
- Next Date: Thursday, October 29th

MONDAY NIGHT STUDY
Book of Colossians
- Audience: Mothers of young children
- Leader: Shannon Medeiros
- Next Date: Monday, November 2nd

Both studies will meet once a month and offer a time for women to gather, study God's Word, and encourage and pray for one another.

There is a difference between discipline and punishment. Discipline involves instruction and correction, aiming for long-term growth. Punishment is a punitive action focused on making someone "pay." Punishment uses fear or discomfort to enforce compliance, while discipline promotes self-control, responsibility, and future growth. God desires to bring spiritual growth in our lives -- He disciplines.

Discipline may feel painful, but it is a loving act from God that yields the "peaceable fruit of righteousness" later. God uses discipline as a training mechanism meant to shape us and help us grow in holiness. But notice that the verse says, "later it yields...". We have to be patient in the process. And as the verse concludes, we must submit ourselves to being "trained by it."

Perspective matters. View discipline as an opportunity for spiritual growth, trusting that God is at work to "yield the peaceful fruit of righteousness" in our lives. Ponder how God might be using this to shape you, to grow you, and to bring you a deeper peace in Him.

Upward Basketball is an awesome outreach ministry! Would you prayerfully consider serving this season? Serving opportunities include coaching, snack shack, hospitality, prayer team, safety/medic and more. The season runs January through March.
