White Lotus Buddhist Center is dedicated to the transmission of Buddha’s teachings and realization to America and is committed to the support of those who seek to walk the Path together. This effort involves individuals gaining the confidence to commit to ongoing study, critical analysis – pounding the teachings as gold would be hammered in ancient India to prove its purity – and applying the teac

hings to the training of the mind. Our center, located in Rochester, New York offers weekly lectures on Tibetan Buddhism and meditation practice in a warm and friendly environment. The highlights of each year are programs by visiting Tibetan Lamas who teach on Buddhism, lead meditation retreats, and meet one on one with interested practitioners.

Join us tonight at 7pm in-person or on Zoom for our instrument class with Khenpo Konchok Molam!

Khenpo will be instructing us on the use of ritual instruments that are part of Tibetan Buddhist practice, including bells, drums, horns, and cymbals.

All of these instruments and their use is rich with meaning and symbolism, and one of the many means to learn and practice the Dharma!

Saturday, May 30, 4:00 pm Animal Releasing Ceremony

In celebration of Saga Dawa, White Lotus will be releasing live crickets and minnows which otherwise had been marked as live food for pet reptiles or bait. The merit gained will be dedicated to the liberation of all sentient life and will propel us towards liberation. All are welcome!

4:00 PM at Ellison Park near the Old Meadow Shelter. Upon entering the park, follow Ellison Park Rd, turn right at the first intersection to a small parking lot near the creek. There is a concrete sort of bridge that crosses one branch of Irondequoit Creek there.

*Please Note* - the shelter is reserved for another party so please avoid hanging out near it or parking on the grass. Please stay near the concrete bridge where the creek spllts into two branches as it winds through Ellison park.
