Awaken Church RVA Awaken Church RVA meets & serves in the Richmond, VA area! Awaken is a contemporary, non-denominational, Christian church serving in the Richmond, VA area.

We are focused on Family (cultivating an authentic community) Outreach (reaching those far from Christ) & Discipleship (equipping & activating those in Chtist). We believe and preach the word of God as outlined in the 66 books of the Holy Bible. Our focus is on authentic spiritual growth as individuals and as a church family. This growth results in lives changing, people serving, and God being pla

ced first in all situations. Our church family is diverse, with people from different backgrounds connected through our shared pursuit to become more like Jesus. We are fellowship focused and believe Sunday service should be a launching pad for our congregation to do life together! A common phrase you'll hear during service is "Real Church," which means we don't pretend we have it all together; instead, we embrace authentic relationships through our highs and lows so we can support and encourage one another as we push towards Jesus.

Join us tomorrow at Awaken Church RVA as Pastor Nicholas Jenkins concludes our Acts 27 teaching series:

⚡️ THROUGH THE STORM ⚡️
Week 7 — "God Of The Storm"
Acts 27:39–44

Over the past several weeks we've walked through:
• preparing for storms
• removing false hope
• enduring instead of escaping
• pressing into God through difficult seasons

Tomorrow we arrive at the shore.

But what if the purpose of the storm was never just about getting through it?

What if God was using it to reveal His faithfulness, draw us closer to Himself, and impact the people around us?

This final message is a powerful reminder that God doesn't waste storms. What the enemy means for evil, God can use for His glory and for the good of others.

We'll be taking communion, celebrating our students and all that God is doing in the next generation, followed by a meal and fellowship after service.

Grow Sunday is happening this Sunday at Awaken Church RVA 🙌

Grow Sunday is always a special time for our church family. We gather for worship, the Word, communion, and a meal together after service — but this Sunday, we’re also taking time to celebrate our 👨‍🎓 students 👩‍🎓 and recognize what God is doing in the next generation 💥

📢 At Awaken, we believe our kids and students aren’t just the church of tomorrow — they are part of the church right now. We want to celebrate their growth, encourage their faith, and remind them that God has purpose for their lives.

So bring the family, come ready to worship, and plan to stay after service for food and fellowship!

Baptism Sunday is happening THIS SUNDAY at Awaken Church RVA 🌊🙌

Right after service, we’re celebrating one of our brothers publicly declaring his faith in Jesus and taking his next step in obedience. There’s just something powerful about watching life change happen in real time.

At Awaken, we believe:

➡️ New Life.
➡️ New Identity.
