DR. LINDA A. DAY – Founder/Director

Dr. Day was born in New York City (the Bronx) and educated in the New York City Public School System. She received her Bachelor of Science in Special Education (with an emphasis in Orientation & Mobility for the Blind) from Talladega College in Talladega, AL and she holds a Master’s of Science in Education from the University of Southern California (Berlin Program).
Dr. Day continued her education by attending Practical Christianity Institute of Evangelism (PCIE) - School of Bible Theology Seminary and University. At PCIE she received her Master's Level I degree in theology in 2008 followed by her Master's Level II theology degree in 2010. She received her Doctorate in Theology in January 2012. One of her professors made this comment about her Doctoral Thesis, "I have read your thesis, THE HISTORY OF THE CHURCH, and I am giving you and A+. It is a very timely subject and your observations are correct. Your research is excellent also...the way you compared the mega church with the Bible-believing church...keep standing for the latter!"
Dr. Day is employed at Defense Supply Center (DSCR) Richmond in the Marine Aviation Division. For two years, she spearheaded a work-based Bible-study/fellowship group & served as Chaplain for Blacks in Government (BIG). She ministers monthly at a local nursing home. Her passion, however, is to serve women who are incarcerated or those re-entering society from the prison system. That was the seed for Made In His Image Ministries. For many years she served as a minister and teacher under Prison Fellowship at two federal correctional facilities in the Richmond, VA area. While there, she became a mentor to numerous women. In addition to meeting the needs of the female prison population, Dr. Day realizes that a prison isn’t just a physical place. It can also be a mental space in which one resides. Therefore, tools are needed to assist the incarcerated population to re-enter society and to gain the various skills needed to be not only a successful natural citizen but also a citizen of the Kingdom of God. Thus, FAITH HOUSE was born to meet that need – for both women AND men.
Dr. Day is a licensed/ordained minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. She is a teacher, preacher, praise dancer and, most of all, a worshipper in spirit and in truth. She is a published author. Her first release was, “Single and Sold Out to God.” She is a member of Mt. Gilead Full Gospel International Ministries under the leadership of Bishop Daniel Robertson, Jr. where she currently serves on the Ministerial Team. She previously served as Overseer for the Member Services Ministry, Team Leader for New Believers Ministry and Team Leader for the Ministerial Training Team. She has traveled on the international mission field where she was privileged to minister the word of God in India. She has also been to Uganda.
Dr. Day’s favorite scripture is Acts 20:24: “However, I consider my life worth nothing to me, if only I may finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me – the task of testifying to the gospel of God’s grace.” (NIV)
