Summer Trout Fly Fishing is here on the lower sac & I’ve got some ways to Beat the Heat.
June/July/August

In the summer the trout on the lower sac feed in “windows” the morning hatch gets the bite started early, & then the hatch slows down during peak heat, followed by an evening hatch that turns the bite back on.

Summer "Beat the Heat" Options
1. Two half day Sessions
How it works: We fish the two prime-time windows of the day and skip the midday slump.

Morning Float: 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Midday Break: 12:00 PM – 3:30 PM (Go grab lunch, head to the AC, and rest)
Evening Float: 3:30 PM – 8:30 PM (Targeting the heavy evening hatch)

2. The Half-Day Morning Session
7:00 AM – 12:00 PM. Perfect for getting off the water just as the heat rolls in.

3. The Half-Day Evening Session
3:30 PM – 8:30 PM. Tailor-made for working professionals or quick-strike anglers wanting to hit the evening bite.

Tactics used: Indicator, Dry Dropper, Dry Fly, Euro Nymph

Dry fly fishing season is here!
contact me asap to get out and enjoy consistent dry fly action, we are seeing our annual golden stonefly hatch early this season, as well as Salmon Flies and Yellow sallies with some Skwala stones in the mix,
which means we should have fantastic dry fly opportunity for the next month or so

Was able to upgrade boats, very thankful, could not have done it without the support from my guests & everyone along the way.

You already know I had to get another , this time a Big Eddy, this boat rows awesome and will keep us on the fish all day long with plenty of room for activities.
& it match’s the 4Runner 👍

Quick little fishing update,
The Lower Sac went from good to great/on fire with the warmer weather and lower flows, finally the bugs are out and we are catching them on indicators, dry dropper,
dry flies (if you’re in the right place at the right time)
and swung bugs are getting grabs as well.

Spring Fishing is here & so is the prime weather, this is the time to get out there before the summer heat!
I’ve got some open days:
March 20th-22nd, 28th, 30th &31st
April 1st-4th
