What began as a dream is becoming a place where people can encounter the King.

For years, God has been awakening a hunger to see Jesus lifted high across Melbourne and throughout Australia. We are so excited to come alongside other churches and play a part in this move of God as we announce the launch of Bethel Melbourne.

This is a church being built around one pursuit: the presence of God. A place to follow Jesus, make room for His Spirit, and see His Kingdom bring freedom, healing, restoration, and hope to a city.

What God does within the four walls of the Church is vital, but it was never meant to stay contained within a building. It’s meant to be exported!

We are called to be a people who carry His presence wherever He sends us, bringing the good news of Jesus into homes, cities, nations, and every sphere of society.

This morning, we saw that vision in action as we commissioned Ben and Jo Wilson and their family to lead Bethel Melbourne, a new expression of our Bethel family in Australia. We also prayed over 30 people heading into the 10/40 Window with Bethel World Race to carry the gospel to those who have never heard.

This is who we are: a people who encounter God, say yes to Him, and go wherever He leads.

As Hayley Braun reminded us, every one of us has a part to play. Together, we’re seeking the heart of God and partnering with Him to see His Kingdom come in our homes, our region, and the nations.

What a beautiful start to Vision Sundays! Bethel Church, we can’t wait to be together again next Sunday as we continue to make room for all God wants to do in us and through us.

How do we stay in awe of God when we’re surrounded by His presence?

When we remember who He is, awe doesn’t become familiar. It deepens. When we see Him for who He is, there’s no room for complacency.

We never grow out of first love.

The same Spirit who called us and filled us is the Spirit who lives in us now, always drawing us closer to Jesus. When our hearts grow weary, dry, or stoic, He doesn’t pull away. He draws near, refreshing us with His presence and awakening our love for Him again.

Do you feel Him stirring in your heart? Come to Jesus. Be refreshed. Be filled. Burn again.

At Open Heavens 2026, we’re going after the God of refreshing. Ben Fitzgerald will be joining us as a featured speaker, leading us into wholehearted surrender before the Lord as we make room for the Holy Spirit to refresh and awaken our hearts.

Young Saints, Bethel’s youth group, took over our recent Sunday 6pm service, and you could feel the wildness of the Holy Spirit in the room. Fully abandoned, undignified worship across every generation. Rory, lead pastor of Young Saints, reminded us that this kind of worship and life isn’t just for young people, it’s for everyone, in every season, whether you’re walking through suffering or joy.

Our Young Saints are taking over tonight’s service!

At 6:00 PM, our Young Saints youth ministry team will lead us in worship, share a word, and bring some fun to the evening. Take a moment to learn more about Young Saints and their passion for seeing junior high and high school students encounter God, both here in Redding and around the world.

If you have youth in your family, Young Saints gathers every Wednesday night at 6:00 PM for junior high and 7:15 PM for high school at our Twin View Campus. It’s a place for students to encounter God through worship, teaching, and moments in His presence. Learn more and get involved at the link in our bio.
