‭‭𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸‬ ‭𝟭𝟮‬:‭𝟯𝟴‬-‭𝟰𝟬‬ ‭𝗡𝗟𝗧‬‬

“Jesus also taught: “𝘽𝙚𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙚 of these teachers of religious law! For they like to 𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙙𝙚 𝙖𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙙 in flowing robes and receive respectful greetings as they walk in the marketplaces. And how 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙮 𝙡𝙤𝙫𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙝𝙤𝙣𝙤𝙧 in the synagogues and the head table at banquets. 𝙔𝙚𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙮 𝙨𝙝𝙖𝙢𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙡𝙮 𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙩 widows out of their property and then 𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙩𝙚𝙣𝙙 𝙩𝙤 𝙗𝙚 𝙥𝙞𝙤𝙪𝙨 by making long prayers in public. Because of this, they will be more severely punished.””

‭‭𝗠𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘄‬ ‭𝟮𝟯‬:‭𝟭‬-‭𝟯‬ ‭𝗡𝗟𝗧‬‬

“Then Jesus said to the crowds and to his disciples, “The teachers of religious law and the Pharisees are the official interpreters of the law of Moses. So practice and obey whatever they tell you, but 𝙙𝙤𝙣’𝙩 𝙛𝙤𝙡𝙡𝙤𝙬 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙞𝙧 𝙚𝙭𝙖𝙢𝙥𝙡𝙚. 𝙁𝙤𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙮 𝙙𝙤𝙣’𝙩 𝙥𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙘𝙚 𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙮 𝙩𝙚𝙖𝙘𝙝.”

The word of God is simple and clear! Obey and follow the Word of God! If what you follow reflects the Word and reveals the fruit of the Spirit of God, then it is worthy to follow.

Many are playing games, but God seeks a pure and holy bride. He desires us to return to Him, His Word, and a state of repentance. Your sincere turn towards God can change His decree from destruction to blessing.

In this season, how you respond matters deeply for your walk with God. If your actions aren't aligning with His Word, it's time to pause. Revisit the blueprint, re-examine your steps, and find your way back to where God intends you to be.

Denying yourself isn't about losing who you are or your unique personality. It's about developing new patterns of thought and behavior to align with a guiding principle. You can still be funny, serious, or creative while learning to follow a new way of living and thinking.

Following Jesus requires a daily decision to respond to His leading. It's not about your imagination, desires, pain, or fears, but about His guidance. To be a disciple, you must actively follow Him.

There are paths that seem perfectly fine, even good, but they lead away from what truly matters. Proverbs 14:12 warns us: 'There is a way that seems right to a person, but its end is the way of death.' Living with good intentions and actions doesn't guarantee the right outcome if it separates us from our core values.

Simply rejecting worldly ways isn't enough. We must actively embrace God's path, learning His principles and how to walk in them. Jesus is the way; His Word reveals the steps to follow Him faithfully.
