First Alliance Church At First Alliance church, we are committed to helping people rediscover and connect with God. We're also working to be more prayerful in everything we do.

We have been members of the Christian & Missionary Alliance for more than 80 years. First Alliance seeks to be a loving, grace-filled, community that follows Jesus. This year we're focusing on building a deeper sense of community and fellowship. This summer's unifying faith project is taking us into the neighborhoods around our church to feed kids that are hungry. We believe God's calling us to st

ep up and into this initiative. Each week we meet for music, prayer, reflection and to look at a section of the Bible. We pray for each other through the week and look forward to being together. First Alliance is a great place to be!

Do you enjoy writing and being with other writers? Then consider joining the Story Weavers Writers Club! We meet once/month (usually the first Saturday) - from 1:00-3:00 pm in the Bridge Café area of First Alliance Church. (See www.facraleigh.org calendar for dates and other events at FAC.) This informal gathering is a chance to share poems, short stories, memoirs or dramatic productions that we have written -- and encourage each other to write. You are welcome even if you can't come every week. We always have coffee available and you can bring a snack to share if you wish. A new Bible study group of men and women now meets on Sunday mornings from 9:00 - 10:00 am in the Education Building, Room 1. New members welcome! Studying the "Harmony of the Gospels", we explore the life of Jesus through the four Gospels—Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John—and discover how their distinct voices form a single, harmonious portrait. We are using A. T. Robertson’s "Harmony of the Gospels" to explore the life of Christ.

Mark your calendars for Thursday, May 7th at 6:15 pm! The Live Oaks group is hosting a Potluck Dinner, followed by a time to sing your favorite hymns. Join us at North Ridge Church (7601 Falls of Neuse, Raleigh) in the Missions Room near the main entrance. All are welcome. Bring your favorite main dish, side or dessert to share.

This will be the last Live Oaks event until September.

Live Oaks is a social group for folks 55+ and is organized by Margaret Jordan from North Ridge, along with several helpers. Do you enjoy playing card games? Our card playing hostess Vicki Strayer is back at the Bridge Café -- and is now offering TWO times each month to join in. Meet on Wednesday May 20th from 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. -- AND Thursday May 28th from 1:00 - 3:00 pm. Come learn a new card game or share a favorite!

The "Growing Gracefully" Group Bible study fellowship usually meets on Sunday evenings from 6:00 - 7:30 pm in the Education Building (Room 1). We are a mixed group of women and men who simply love each other and love God’s Word.
Due to the Easter holidays, our next meetings for April will be April 19 and 26. Normally we meet every Sunday apart from the first Sunday of the month, when there is a monthly church prayer meeting.
