Here's a simple guide for worshipping where you are today...

Whether you are gathering with family, roommates, or spending this time alone with God, this guide is designed to help you center your heart, connect with the Spirit, and remember who you are in Christ. There is no rush here. Take your time with each section.

Part 1: Welcome
Settling in and connecting.
The Soul Check Before we rush into "doing" church, let's just "be" here. Take a deep breath. If you are with others, go around the circle. If you are alone, journal this or speak it out to God.
• The Question: "How is your soul doing right now?"
o Prompt: Don't just say "fine" or "busy." Use a weather metaphor if it helps (e.g., "I feel a bit foggy," "I'm sunny with scattered clouds," "I feel like a thunderstorm is rolling in"). Be honest. All weather is welcome here.
The Connector Let’s get to know each other (or yourself) a little better with a lighter question:
• The Question: "If you could instantly inherit a new skill or talent without having to practice it—like playing the piano, speaking Italian, or woodworking—what would you pick and why?"

Part 2: Worship
Expressing gratitude and praise.
You don't need a guitar or a choir to worship. Worship is simply turning our attention and our affection toward God. Today, we are going to practice "The Gratitude Loop."
1. Pause: Set a timer for 2 minutes (or just watch the clock).
2. Reflect: Think about the last 7 days. Look for the "fingerprints of grace"—small moments where you felt provision, beauty, or love. It could be a hot cup of coffee, a text from a friend, or a sunrise.
3. Speak:
o If you are alone: Speak them out loud to God. "Lord, I praise You for..."
o If you are with others: Go around the circle rapidly. Don't overthink it. Just pop-corn style shout out things you are grateful for. Try to keep it going without stopping until the time is up.
4. Finish this time by saying together: "God, for all these things and for who You are, we give You thanks. You are good, and Your love endures forever."

Part 3: Word
Listening to Scripture and Reflection.
The Scripture Read 1 Corinthians 12:27 (NLT) aloud: "All of you together are Christ’s body, and each of you is a part of it."
The Reflection: The Church in the 21st Century We often treat "church" like it’s a destination—a place we go to on Sundays, a building with a steeple, or an event we attend. But in the 21st century, perhaps more than ever, we are learning that the church isn't a building; it is a body.
We live in a digital, often disconnected world. We can order food without talking to a human and work without leaving our bedrooms. In this context, being the church is a radical act of embodiment. It means realizing that Jesus doesn't have a physical body on earth right now... except for ours.
If Jesus is going to hug the hurting, He uses our arms. If Jesus is going to speak peace to anxiety, He uses our voices. If Jesus is going to sit with the lonely, He uses our time.
Being the church today means we stop asking, "What did the church do for me this week?" and start asking, "How can I be the church to the person right in front of me?" It means moving from being consumers of religious content to being active participants in God's redemption. You—yes, you—are a vital organ in this body. Without you, the body doesn't work the same way.
• Discussion/Thought: What is one specific way you can "be the church" (be the body of Christ) in your workplace, school, or neighborhood this week?

Part 4: Witness
Responding and going out.
We are called to be the "Salt of the Earth" and the "Light of the World." Salt preserves and adds flavor; Light drives out darkness. Here are two ways to actively respond this week:
Option 1: The Salt Text Salt makes things better. Pick up your phone right now. Think of someone who is struggling, lonely, or just needs a boost. Send them a text that says: "Hey, I was just thinking about you and wanted to remind you that you matter and you are loved. Praying for you today."
Option 2: The Light Move Light helps people see. Look at your neighborhood or your street. Is there a literal or metaphorical "dark corner"?
• Maybe a neighbor’s yard needs help.
• Maybe a local food pantry needs a donation.
• Maybe a coworker is being overlooked. Choose one act of service to do this week that brings "light" to that situation.
Closing Prayer
"Father, thank You that we don't go alone. Send us out from this place to be Your hands and feet. May our lives flavor the world with Your grace and shine with Your hope. We love you. Amen."
