Marsha Ann Madrid, born March 18, 1951, in Detroit, Michigan, passed away on August 28, 2026. Although she began her life in Michigan, Marsha eventually found her way to Pueblo, Colorado, where she built a life filled with family, love, friendship, and countless memories.

For more than 20 years, Marsha shared her life with Donnie. Together, they enjoyed the simple things that made life special, especially camping, fishing, and spending time with the people they loved.

Marsha was a woman who never met a stranger. She had a special gift for making people feel welcome, and after just one visit, you were no longer a guest—you were family. Her home and her heart were always open, and she had a way of making everyone around her feel that they belonged.

Marsha graduated from County High School and USC. She went on to build a life centered around the people she loved most. Her greatest joy was her family, and she leaves behind a legacy that will live on through the generations.

Marsha is survived by her longtime partner, Donnie; her children; Allen, Meridith and Jason. grandchildren; Allen, Maggie, Josephine Garrett, Isabela Severas and Richard great-grandchildren; AJ and Kalina along with many other family members and friends who were blessed to know and love her.

She will be remembered for her generous heart, her welcoming spirit, her love of the outdoors, and most of all, for the way she made people feel like family.

Our family sadly gives notification of the passing of Leon Bush on August 23, 2026 at the age of 70.
Leon was born in Pueblo, Colorado to A. Leon and Lavena Bush on October 21, 1955.
Leon completed education in Pueblo before relocating to Seattle, Washington to work for the Port of Seattle. At retirement, Leon returned home to Pueblo to care for his mother after his dad’s passing.
Leon is preceded in death by his father, A. Leon Bush; his mother, Lavena Bush; an infant brother, Francis Keith Bush; and his sister, Debra Sue Woodward.
He is survived by his son, Noel R. Bush; daughter, Amber D. Bush; and the loves of his life, his grandchildren, Kiyana T. Bush, Antonio Hartwell Jr., and Bentley L. Hartwell.
Leon is also survived by sisters, Annie (Herb) Thornton, Konna (Buddy) Vierow; nieces, Hollie K. Thornton, Bethany (Jonathan) Acre, Trisha (Duane) Tucker; and nephews, Michael Vierow, and Herb (Michelle) Thornton, who will love him forever.
Everyone who met Leon recognized his big, loving heart and generous nature. If you met Leon, you had a forever friend.
Leon enjoyed silly dad jokes, baseball, and spending time with family.
At his request, cremation has taken place and services are not scheduled.

A soul larger than life itself was taken from us unexpectedly and way too soon.
Karl Anthony Darnell, known affectionately to those that loved him as Buster, was born March 5, 1990 and left this earth to become an angel on August 23, 2026.
Buster was born in Roswell, NM in the middle of the afternoon, as he could never quite make it anywhere on time and certainly not early! He entered this world larger than life at just under 9 pounds and lived his first two years in Roswell with his mother and father where he never met an alien he didn’t love. It was here that he began his love for swimming and the great outdoors that he maintained till the end. From day one he had a spirit of adventure and a curiosity that could not be contained.
At age two, he was joined in his explorations by his younger brother, Floyd Alexander Cruz. The two became fast friends and partners in crime. They were seldom without one another, and right up till the end, Karl had the love and support of his brother with him. Throughout their youth they would splash and swim in the muds of the Gila river, ride bikes wherever a back path would take them, and share the secrets that only brothers can share. Alone Karl was unstoppable; together they were complete!
Buster’s curious nature allowed him to appreciate the large trucks and stock car racing in eastern New Mexico. He played in the dirt of the Rio Grande and hunted arrowheads along the Rio Grand in Socorro, NM. He hiked and climbed...

Andres Jose Vigil, 30 of Pueblo was born May 15, 1996 and went to be with the Lord on August 19, 2026. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Ralph Vigil, Bob Quintana, Maggie and Benny Santos, and Sacramento and Vitalia Gomez; as well as his uncle, Andrew “Soupy” Gomez. Andres is survived by his son, Hiro Redfern-Vigil; mother, Gloria Gomez; father, Ralph Vigil; brothers, Jared and Jacob Gomez, and Brandon, Justin and Donovan Vigil; grandparents, Andres “Pepe” Gomez and M. Dixie Gomez, and Sharon Quintana; aunts and uncles, Sheryl (Victor) Correa, Mary Gomez-Chambers - Nina, Sheri (Doug) Kalanquin, and Bobby Vigil. He is also survived by numerous close relatives, extended family and friends. Andres was an amazing artist and could create just about anything. He loved spending time with his family, spending most of his time with his mom, he was still especially close to his brothers and cousins. He really enjoyed spending time with his grandparents as well and would help them with anything they needed. His greatest love was his son Hiro; he loved being a dad and being with his son. Andres will be remembered for his love of family, big heart and kind spirit. He will be forever loved and deeply missed by all his family and friends. At the family’s request, a small private service will take place.

David F. Martinez met his Lord and Savior on 16 Aug 2026. He was born the only son to Adolpho Jose and Gertrude Mary Martinez. He was a quiet man with a smile that would light up a room. He lived a simple life with his dog, his greatest love his mom, his kids, grandkids and family, never missing a family function. His passion was restoring and painting Classic Automobiles and riding his motorcycle with his brother in law, Scott, family and friends. He loved his community helping Pastor Paul cloth and feed the homeless, building ramps for wheelchairs, fixing bikes, home repairs, yard work always helping someone in need.
He is preceded in death by his father, Adolpho Jose Martinez; brother in law, Christopher Robles; and niece Kristin Robles. He leaves to celebrate his life his mother, Gertrude Mary Martinez; children, Jasmine, Danny, David Jr. Martinez, Andrea Duran (Jeremy), Desiree DeHerrera (Josh); 11 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; five loving sisters; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and cousins. David's laughter, amazing smile, love and kindness will forever be missed by all those he loved. Forever Fly Free Brother until we meet again!

Steven Douglas Thompson, 69 of Pueblo passed away August 8, 2026 Preceded in death by his parents, aunt, and uncles. Survived by his brother, Mike (Diane; sister, Patte (Roger); and several nieces and nephews and many close friends. Stevens biggest joy in life was racing of any kind. At his request there will be no services.

Robert was born in Trinidad, Colorado on August 4, 1949 to Charlotte E. Seawald and Paul O. Muniz. He ended his unexpected journey on August 7, 2026. He was 77 years young. Robert is survived by his wife of 54 years, Shirley; their sons, Ben (Karen), and Matt (Michelle); grandchildren, Sean (Alanah), Levi (Dakota), Kaylee (Emil) and Lindsey; great grand granddaughter, Maggie and one great grandson on the way; sisters, Tena (Steve) Jelinek, and Tany (Leon, deceased) Bayha; and brother, Randy (Barb); several nieces and nephews; and his dog, Khloe. His love of family started with his mother and father and followed him all his life. Robert was the eldest. He enjoyed taking pictures at all family celebrations and gatherings. He enjoyed being active with his sons, Ben and Matt always volunteering for positions in their activities. Rocky Mountain Council with the Boy Scouts of America as Scout Master of Troop 30, District 60 Accountability and Restructuring Committees, hunter safety classes, camping and fishing are just a few. As his grandchildren arrived, he enjoyed spending as much time as he could with them, fishing, hunting, dancing, going on scary amusement park rides and traveling. He wanted to build memories. Robert graduated from East High School Class of 1967 and enlisted in the Army in 1968 and served 3 years. One of his military years was spent in South Korea stationed on the DMZ with the 2nd Infantry Division 2nd Military Police Company....

Theresa Angelina "Teri" Guerrero 83, died of natural causes August 4, 2026, in Pueblo, Colo. She was born January 9, 1943, in Pueblo and resided in La Puente and Hacienda Heights, Calif. After marrying James Gilbert Guerrero and moving to California, Theresa worked as a childcare provider so she could stay at home to raise her children. She later worked at a grocery store in Montebello, Calif. Theresa enjoyed taking care of the stray cats at her childhood home and volunteering in her community, especially at the Pueblo County USDA Food Commodity Programs. Theresa is survived by her children, Gerald Guerrero of Pueblo, Francine LeMaster of Tennessee, Michael (Gina) Guerrero of California and Christina (Jennifer Spencer) Guerrero of Pueblo; her grandchildren, Lance (Haily) LeMaster of Tennessee, Clyde Guerrero and Zoe (Jasper) Mendoza of California; her great-grandson, Thomas LeMaster of Tennessee; her brother, Robert Montez of Pueblo; as well as her nieces and extended family. She was proceeded in death by her nephew, Johnny Montez
(1973); Mother ,Olympia Montez (2005); Father, Simon Arthuro Montez (2007) and her husband, James (2012). Rosary will take place at 9:30 a.m. with funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Monday, August 17, 2026, at St. Leander Catholic Church, and inurnment will follow at Roselawn Cemetery in Pueblo, Colo. Crystal Renee Villegas, 40 of Pueblo born November 11, 1985 passed away August 9, 2026. Preceded in death by, grandmother, Opal K. Thomas; and paternal grandparents, Gregorio and Josepha Cortez. Survived by her children, Aubrielle and Noah Villegas; parents, Gwen (Dean McCollum) Thomas and Carlos Cortez; sister, Faith (Joe) Bonfadini; special friend, Robert Romero; and numerous family members and friends. Crystal enjoyed cooking for her family and mostly spending time with her children. She was an avid lover of books and poetry, and she achieved her associate’s degree in nursing. She had a beautiful smile that would light up any room and will be sorely missed by all of those who loved her.
Cremation has taken place per her request. Memorial contributions can be made to Pueblo City County Library Rawlings Main Branch.
