2026 BETTY FILPI MEMORIAL COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP ANNOUNCEMENT
The Pueblo Diocesan Council of Catholic Women (DCCW) is pleased to announce the availability of the $500.00 Betty Filpi Memorial College Scholarship.
This scholarship will be awarded to a deserving young woman who is a high school senior graduating in 2026. We warmly invite and encourage young women from parishes throughout the Diocese of Pueblo to apply.
Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must:
1. Be an Active Parish Member: Demonstrate full, active participation in a parish within the Diocese of Pueblo.
2. Educational Commitment: Indicate plans to be a full-time certificate or degree-seeking student at an accredited community college, college, or university during the award period.
3. Complete the Scholarship Application Package: Submit all required components as outlined below.
4. Letters of Recommendation: Provide three letters of recommendation:
• Two letters from individuals familiar with your academic performance and/or character (these individuals should not be relatives).
• One letter from your parish Pastor or a pastoral staff member who knows you well.
Application Deadline: The completed application package must be submitted no later than April 28, 2026. Award notifications will be made before the end of the current school year, and the recipient’s high school will be notified of the award.
