It's that time of year for the annual Chico Cemetery Association Cleanup - Saturday, May 16 @ 10 am. Let's be kind to those tumbleweeds - just throw them over the fence so they can move along. Please wear your hats, gloves and sunscreen - bring your own refreshments and weed-whackers. No formal meeting but lots of stories! 😉

Holiday greetings to all! A special thank you to those who participated in meetings, responded to emails, and provided thoughtful suggestions during the creation of our new Bylaws and Articles of Incorporation. Your hard work has paid off. We are pleased to announce that we have officially achieved 501(c)(3) charitable organization status! YAY! 🎉

Hey everyone! It's that time of year for the annual Chico Cemetery Association cleanup:

• Saturday, May 17, 2025, at 10 am
• Chico Cemetery on North Chico Road

Please bring your own refreshments and snacks, trash bags, sunscreen, hats, and sturdy shoes. W**d whackers are always helpful. Be sure not to clean areas to bare dirt due to soil erosion. We're not having an official meeting at this time.

Catch up with friends and families, and please tell all the stories of those buried at Chico - the stories make Chico Cemetery so special.♥️

Chico Cemetery Semi-Annual Meeting & Clean-up:

When: Saturday, May 18, 2024, 10 a.m.

Where: Chico Cemetery, Chico Road, Pueblo Co

Important meeting! We will be discussing the Chico Cemetery Association, how it's organized and it's future endeavors.

Coffee, water and doughnuts will be provided. Please wear a hat, gloves and sunscreen.

If you did not receive an email detailing what's happened in the past year with the attached draft documents, please send a message with your email address. I'll respond as quickly as I can!

Chico Cemetery Association Annual Meeting

When: Saturday, Nov. 5, 2022, at 10 am

Where: Avondale Methodist Church

Why: Elect new officers and discuss any other new business that may come before the Association. To be elected are the positions of President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and two Trustees. All current officers should bring all original documents and files to the meeting in case there is a change of officers.

Coffee and donuts will be provided.

We encourage all those that are interested in preserving and maintaining the Chico Cemetery to please attend.

The Chico Cemetery Association will hold its fall meeting on October 26, 2019 at 10:00 at the Avondale Methodist Church. Coffee and donuts will be provided.

Please plan to attend as this is also the time new officers will be elected. Don & Cindy plan to vacate their positions at that time. They will have all materials and information with them to pass on to the new people elected.

If you have ancestors at Chico Cemetery, please honor them and become active in the Chico Cemetery Association. Volunteers welcome!

To family and friends ... Ruth Arlene (Cawlfield) Gerrell passed on February 1, 2019, at her home in Denver Colorado. Arlene was the daughter of George and Dessie Cawlfield of North Avondale - she leaves behind three daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren who loved her very much. There will be a remembrance of Arlene at Chico Cemetery at 1:00 pm on Saturday, May 25, 2019, followed by refreshments at 220 Argyle Avenue, Pueblo CO 81004.
