Memoir: Highlights and insights of a Life of Mime and poetry - Mime is poetry in motion; poetry is mime as spoken word. Dr. Rick Shope has reached more than a million schoolchildren with his nationwide "Writing as Performance" program. He will present career insights ranging from comedy and mythology to literature and the complexities of science.

"Anatomy of a scene" Mike Castro will discuss the making of "TrueLove", an independent film he wrote and directed, with thoughts on ways to accomplish a large project despite a pronounced shortage of resources and experience.

"Cultivating Apocal Optimism" - Through story, song, music, poetry, movement and connection, Meg Bohrman will lead us in exploring the evolution of the Soul, and the idea that the End is always the Beginning. We were born to this ragged edge of Transformation, and with some perspective and practice, we can learn to ride the waves with Grace. What is down below must grow again - the OK apocalypse.

"What Maasai Culture Taught Me About Building the Love Economy. When my name changed from Jonathan Best to Enjolis Sidai Pii (Hedgehog Completely Good), I couldn't comprehend the full extent of that change. Through song and talk, I will share how I came to believe in the Love Economy and how we can build it."

"Teaching to a captive audience: Reflections from a prison educator" - Lois Colton will read short excerpts from her essays and invite a conversation about why she wrote a book about her experiences as a prison educator teaching adult male maximum security inmates at Oregon's oldest correctional facility.

Immediately following the service, there will be a brief congregational meeting.
