Throughout the New Testament, especially in connection with teachings about the persecutions believers can expect to face during the Great Tribulation, there is an insistence on the need for endurance. In today's devotional, Pastor House makes the case that this need for patient endurance is strong evidence against the eternal security position.

Joshua and the people of Israel re-enact the crossing of the Red Sea, as they cross the swollen Jordan River on miraculously dry ground. The parallels with everything that's gone before are thick, and the theme is strong - this memorial is so that your when children will ask, you can tell them what the LORD has done. It's a powerful passage - come and join us!

As we discuss "eternal security" this week, we start by looking at this key parable of Jesus' about abiding in the vine. Christians sometimes come to different opinions about controversial practices, and especially about practices that had pagan origins but have become secularized. How should Christians of different opinions on these things relate to each other? In today's devotional, Pastor House lays out Paul's principle that we can discuss these things together, but must not quarrel about them. What constitutes quarreling? If it leads to despising or judging the other person, whom Christ has welcomed.

This topic is yesterday's devotional re-recorded due to technical difficulties yesterday.
