Happy Name Day KONSTANTINOS, HELEN, Constantine, Kostas, Gus, Dino, Konstantina, Dina & Eleni! 🙏 Thursday, May 21st! Χρόνια Πολλά!!!

Saint Constantine is the founder of Constantinople, which became the most powerful city in the world. Constantine died May of the year 337, having lived sixty-five years, of which he ruled for thirty-one. His remains were transferred to Constantinople and were buried in the Church of the Holy Apostles ⛪️, which he had constructed.

As for his holy mother, Helen, after her son had made the faith of Christ triumphant throughout the Roman Empire, she undertook a personal pilgrimage to Jerusalem and found the Holy Cross on which our Lord was crucified ☦️.

In his reflection for the Sunday of the Blind Man, Metropolitan Sevastianos reminds us that Christ does not see disability as punishment or limitation, but as an opportunity for the works of God to be revealed.

Through the healing of the man born blind, we are called to embrace every person with dignity, compassion, and love, recognizing the image of God in each human being.
