We are an active Christ-centered community welcoming newcomers and members alike. John’s has been a church home where you can receive and share many of God's blessings. We offer three worship services on Sunday mornings. There are Sunday School classes for children and adults as well as many small groups and ministry teams, always welcoming new participants. It was wonderful having Bishop Assistant, Nicole Schwalbe visit St. John's on Sunday. She came to both 9AM and 10:30AM worship and preached a touching sermon at both. Check out the livestream of it!

We had a lovely Coffee Hour after the 10:30AM service to welcome her thanks to Cheryl Moreau and Jackie Boccio.

Cynthia Leung went to church on Sunday and noticed how many people assist before, during and after worship services at St. John's. She took the opportunity to take pictures of some of these people to show how many hands help each week.

Not pictured are the members of the Worship and Music Mission Team who plan for worship and music services and events at St. John's, Altar Guild and Contemporary Altar Team who prep and clean up for worship so faithfully every week, the many leaders who make sure we have acolytes, ushers, greeters and worship leaders every Sunday, and the choir and contemporary music team members who are at church to serve each week.

Worship is a priority at St. John's and it shows!
Thanks for reminding us of that, Cynthia!

One thing that makes St. John's so special is the varied ways members and participants live out our mission statement:
Encountering, Connecting and Responding to Jesus Christ.
This is seen in the loving smile of a Food Pantry volunteer as food is distributed to a person in need, in the generous donations given to the music program allowing for variety and beauty in worship services and musical programs that glorify God, and in the assistance kind folks gave one Saturday morning as they helped maintain the church building and property on the "Spring Spruce-up Day"-- just to name a few.

Volunteer Sunday was held last Sunday to honor the many, many, many church members, participants and community people who had their hands in volunteering at St. John's this past year. There was a special display recognizing "Dr. JJ Manley's Busy Bees", a group of culinary students, led by Dr. JJ Manley. These students were looking for a way to use their skills and make a difference in the community and over the years they have cooked for multiple St. John's fundraisers/activities as well as events at other local non-profits. The display recognized their 10th anniversary in operation and expressed sincere appreciation for sharing their culinary skills.

The list of volunteers was long and the appreciation for all these volunteers runs deep.
Here are a few pictures of Sunday morning. We hope all these volunteers feel recognized, valued and appreciated!
