🎪 THE CIRCUS IS COMING TO EDGEWOOD!
Well... sort of.
On Saturday, October 24, some fascinating characters from Pottstown's past will return for the fifth installment of A Walk to Remember at Edgewood Historic Cemetery.
This year we're exploring ENTERTAINMENT, from the people who enjoyed the show, to those who took the stage, and finally to life under the big top.
Meet Elizabeth Maize (Prizer) Banghart, whose remarkable 105-year life spanned an extraordinary period of change in Pottstown and American entertainment.
🎠Meet Mary Elizabeth "Mazie" Fleming, a Pottstown woman who took to the vaudeville stage, had her own revue and appeared as a featured performer in The Photo Shop.
🎪 And meet Josephine DeMott, The Circus Lady, whose family had generations of connections to the traveling circus.
Our volunteer performers will bring their stories to life through first-person portrayals and storytelling at three stops throughout historic Edgewood Cemetery.

Edgewood is a 165-year-old abandoned historic cemetery cared for through the efforts of volunteers and supporters. Mowing and trimming the cemetery alone costs approximately $25,000 each year. Proceeds from A Walk to Remember help keep the grounds maintained while we continue preserving the history found here.
👟 Please remember that this is a walking tour over uneven ground and hills. Chairs are provided at all three storytelling stops.
