Sagamore Hill, the beloved home of President Theodore Roosevelt (an early supporter of the Scouting program!), is one of Long Island’s most treasured historic sites.

What an amazing day! Our Scouts toured the house, raised the giant flag, explored the museum, and earned their Junior Ranger badges. Thank you to everyone who joined us for this memorable adventure filled with history, learning, and fun!

For the past two meetings, our Bears have been hard at work preparing for our annual Bear Carnival. With help from Weber shop teacher Mike Czachor, Scouts designed and built their own carnival games from the ground up while also earning their Baloo the Builder belt loop. The whole pack will get to enjoy their creations at our Bear Carnival on June 9th, complete with hot dogs, prizes, and lots of fun! We can’t wait to see all their creativity and hard work come to life! 🐻 🎟️

Don’t forget to sign up for Pack 77's annual spring campout on Saturday June 13 - Sunday June 14! Join the Pack for a fun night including fun/games, dinner & a campfire, skits and a night hike and camping in Sands Point Preserve. We'll have breakfast the next morning before cleaning up the site and heading out. The cost of the campout will be covered by the Pack. You can arrive at the Preserve as early as 1pm on 6/13. Further sign-ups will be coming soon for volunteers to contribute supplies and preparing food.

Quick check in with each of our dens last night…

🦁 Lions: Matthew’s dad helped the Lions decorate bug habitats for their new pet crickets 🦗 😱 and the kiddos enjoyed a fun nature scavenger hunt

🐯 Tigers: Noah’s mom led a conversation about native bird species while the Tigers decorated bird houses and then went to see if they could identify some local birds 🐦‍⬛

🐺 Wolves: The Wolves were working hard on their Adventures in Coins belt loop 🪙

🐻 Bears: Special guest Melissa Ruvio, co-president of the Parent Resource Center, led the Bears in a conversation about the role of non-profits in the community as part of their work on their Paws for Action belt loop 🤝

⚜️Webelos: The Webelos took advantage of the beautiful weather to work on their Tech on the Trail belt loop (and enjoyed some fun outdoor games, too!) 🛜

Thank you Sgt. Griffith and the PWPD for taking our Tigers on a fascinating tour of the Police Department… equal parts inspiring and educational, with perhaps just a little too much enthusiasm on our end for visiting the holding cell.
