Summer is amazing and is passionate about helping eliminate food insecurity. Summer wanted to volunteer at our pantry 2 years ago, but we do not allow those who are teens and under to be present when our families are coming to get food, in case they might know them. Last month, Summer heard our shelves were low and decided to do something about it. Take a look - she is volunteering in a different way that is making a huge difference, for which we are so very grateful!!!

A grassroots effort launched by a Port teen in Oct 2024 to rally her town to help neighbors with food insecurity. 12,000+ items have been collected and donated so far to Our Lady of Fatima Food Pantry in Port Washington, NY. Donate today!

On September 30th, our Prioress Amityville Dominican Sister Peggy McVetty and the President of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Brentwood Tesa Fitzgerald were welcomed onto the Corporate Board of LifeWay Network.

Lifeway Network seeks to abolish human trafficking and support every survivor. The organization provides safe housing for women who have been trafficked and offers education about trafficking to the general public. Some of our sisters have been involved in volunteer efforts with women, helped by this organization.
