The Bridge is a group of individuals who are sincere in their love of God and love of people. The church was started in the Fall of 2012 with the purpose to be God's ambassadors to people in the River Cities area and beyond. We believe that religion is dead and only a relationship with Jesus Christ brings true life and hope. We would love for you to join us for the Sunday Celebration at 11:00am. Come early and enjoy some conversation, coffee, and donuts.

Just like our bodies need food and water, so do our souls.

This Sunday, Pastor Brian looked at the interaction between Jesus and a Samaritan woman at a well. Although it was culturally looked-down on, he opened up a conversation with her. And even then, he offered her the gift of living water. She thought his message would make her life easier. She wanted his blessing, but didn’t understand the relationship.

Today, Christ wants to have the same conversation with us and offer us the same free gift of living water.

The world tells us we need to stay busy, always having something to do. But it leads to burn-out and a whole host of other issues. It's almost like it's wrong to stop and rest--to not always be doing something. Yet, we were reminded that Jesus, the Son of God, still got tired and took time to rest.

Do you need to go take a rest today?

Living as a holy people, we move beyond ourselves into the world’s wounds with Christ’s healing presence.

This Sunday, we looked at Jesus’ journey, in John 4, from Judea to Galilee and some of the initial events in how his ministry transitioned from one place to another. We saw his discernment in leaving a successful ministry; we saw his direct approach to ministry and how he doesn’t avoid those whom others may; we saw how even though he is God in flesh, he still got tired and asked for help; and we saw how he delegated responsibility to others.

This week, is there somewhere you may need to apply Jesus' own discernment? Do you need courage in a direct approach to ministering to others? If you need to find time to rest or ask for help? Is there an area where you could delegate responsibility to others and build them up for growth and success?
