Sometimes we have to put forth a little effort to see the miracle.

This Sunday, Pastor Brian talked about the first miracle of Jesus. It’s interesting how his first miracle occurred at a wedding. Our own relationship with him is much like a marriage in how we as the church submit to Christ, our bridegroom.

At this wedding, we see Christ reveal his glory for the first time, and he invited the servants to be part of it—to be part of a miracle in the celebration of others. They submitted to his direction. Through their submission, we were able to catch a glimpse how Christ can use us to be part of someone else’s miracle.

This Sunday Pastor Brian reminded us that Jesus knows all about us, even long before we ever knew anything about him. He knows all about us, and despite any and all baggage, he loves us anyways. In this knowing, we can find refuge and take comfort by the One and only one that knows our hearts, because he made our hearts.

Have a great rest of the week, knowing that you are KNOWN and LOVED by Christ.

This Sunday, Pastor Brian wrapped up John 1, taking a look at the interaction between Jesus and some of the first disciples. Jesus knew all about Nathanael (one of those first disciples) and his character long before Nathanael ever knew him. The way that Jesus knew Nathanael caused Nathanael to want to know more about Jesus, the long-awaited Messiah that he'd learned so much about.

Jesus knows each and every one of us too. He knows our heart and holds in his hand what each of us are longing for. All we need to do is say yes to Jesus, just like the first disciples.
