Lutheran Memorial Church

Lutheran Memorial Church Lutheran Memorial is a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.

Founded by Swedish settlers under a different name in 1883, by 1907 the congregation had undergone some changes and became affiliated with the Norwegian Lutheran Church of America. Various Lutheran mergers over the decades brought Lutheran Memorial to its current membership in the ELCA. Today Lutheran Memorial Church is a vibrant and active congregation through which Jesus Christ invites people in

to this worshiping community and equips them for ministry so that members and friends of the congregation may live lives of faith for the purpose of building the body of Christ in the world.

Lutheran Memorial Church in Pierre is seeking a Children, Youth, and Family Director. The Director provides leadership, coordination, and relational support for ministries serving children and youth from birth through high school (with an emphasis on birth preschool and elementary). Working collaboratively with staff and volunteers, this role nurtures faith development through weekly programming and special events. We are seeking a creative, passionate, and faith-filled leader who cultivates meaningful relationships with children, youth, and families; equips and supports volunteer leaders; and shapes engaging, Christ-centered experiences where young people grow in faith and belonging.
