Today is our very own Deacon Bob Burns’ 25th Anniversary of Ordination to the permanent diaconate! Deacon Bob has spent all 25 years of service here at Saint Matthew Parish, and we are truly grateful for everything he does - day in and day out - for our parish, and surrounding community. Deacon Bob is absolutely integral to our OCIA and PREP program. He goes out on visits to our homebound, meets families at the graveside, and assists at most of the weekend Masses. Not only has he baptized so many children of the Parish, but he is even the godfather and sponsor of many, many individuals in the Saint Matthew Parish community! His dedicated service to and tremendous love for Saint Matthew is an incredible blessing to us all.

Please keep Deacon Bob in your prayers on this milestone anniversary, and leave your well wishes in the comments! We will mark Deacon Bob’s anniversary at a Mass in the fall!

Big Congratulations to our JV Boys Baseball team who won the CYO Championship on Thursday night! The boys and their coaches worked very hard this season. We are Saint Matt’s proud! ❤️⚾️🖤

Congratulations to our Saint Matthew School’s second grade class, and our Saint Matthew Parish PREP class, who received their First Penance last night!

The kids sang their hearts out during their Penance service, and were excited to make this Sacrament for the first time.

A big thank you to Sister Joseph and Deacon Bob for their extensive work in the School and PREP programs, respectively, and especially to the children’s catechists, Mrs. Goschinski, Mrs, Stauble (School) and Mr. Rocks (PREP). God bless these little ones!
