Father Welsh announced at Masses a few weeks ago, that effective today, Saint Matthew will begin a partnership with Integrity Counseling Services. What does this mean for our parishioners at Saint Matthew? You will receive free phone consultations if you are in search of mental health services, and priority scheduling, to get you or a loved one seen as soon as possible. You can find the information in the posted flyer. These are counselors who provide mental health services from a Catholic perspective.

In addition, Integrity Counseling Services will provide for Saint Matthew Parish two presentations per year centered around mental health. As these are scheduled, we will be sure to announce them on our social media and in our other church communications. These presentations will be at no cost to Saint Matthew.

NEXT WEEK

Each year, we acknowledge the lives of those we have lost during our Mass of Remembrance for the Recently Deceased. In a special way, on Sunday, November 8th at the 11AM Mass, we will remember in particular, all those who have gone before us this past year. In November, we are asked to pray for the Holy Souls in Purgatory, and this Mass is a wonderful opportunity for us to pray for all of those who have gone before us as an entire parish community. Please, join us!

PRAYER OF SPIRITUAL COMMUNION
My Jesus, I believe that You are present in this Most Holy Sacrament.
I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul.
Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally,
come at least spiritually into my heart.
I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You.
Never permit me to be separated from You.
Amen.

In today’s gospel, the Beatitudes reveal that true happiness and holiness are found not in worldly success, but in humility, mercy, purity of heart, and a willingness to suffer for what is right.

As we celebrate the saints today, strive to follow their example and make the daily choice to live according to God's will, even when the path is difficult. All you holy men and women, pray for us!
