“Prayers of the People” is an important part of our weekly liturgical worship that we do not rush through and that comes right before a collective reading of the “Lord’s Prayer.” We see this as an opportunity to communally reflect, engage with grief, ground ourselves in calling and hope, and catalyze the work of solidarity when we re-enter the rest of society as followers of Jesus.
