They spent the morning showing us they're here for our freedom, that we can't exist.
They'll be back to take us in the night.

This is when we need you. If you've ever said show up when the protest heat is dim.

PROTEST SHIFTS:
- 6PM
- 10PM through the night

2nd) Let's call churches, synagogues, and mosques to reach out to Kenney's office on our behalf. Double points for South Philly churches so Kenney gets an earful to stop these atrocities from his own people.

Join us on Sunday, 9/6 at 5PM at City Hall for a rally to demand !

Our immediate demands are for PHA properties to be transferred to a Community Land Trust (CLT) owned and operated by Philadelphia Housing Action for the creation of permanent, extremely low-income housing for encampment residents. Until the transfer happens the city should allow the encampments to stay where they are.

The City is standing by its decision to evict the encampments on 9/9, while continuing to present the same inadequate, temporary housing solutions it has in the past. The City and PHA (Housing Authority) demonstrated they have no intention to provide permanent housing to unhoused Philadelphians.

OUR ENCAMPMENT RESIDENTS HAVE NO WHERE ELSE TO GO. WE WILL BE STAYING AT THE ENCAMPMENTS IN PROTEST.

Housing is a basic human right! We will defend the encampments until the City uses its authority to provide viable, permanent options for residents to move to. Until they do, unhoused residents will be further displaced, dispersed again on the streets, with nowhere to go. The people of Philadelphia refuse to allow the City to continue violating our basic human rights.

Please spread the word about this crisis and the harm the City is perpetuating against its own people. Join us on Sunday, 9/6 at 5PM at City Hall for a rally. The City needs to see that we will not back down.

We also need your help in calling and emailing city officials to demand immediate, permanent housing solutions for all of us.
