“Being Confirmed but not Consumed”

Good morning God our Father. Thank YOU Lord for waking me today. Every day YOU wake me is a gift!

Heavenly Father,
Our hearts hear YOUR call to seek YOUR face. Have us respond with complete devotion and hunger for YOUR presence. YOUR face, Lord, we will seek above all worldly pursuits.

Turn our eyes away from daily distractions and worthless things.
Silence the noise around us so we can hear YOUR gentle whisper. We seek YOUR face to know YOUR character and intimacy. Show us YOUR glory and transform us into Your likeness.

Guide our steps today as we walk in YOUR light. Let YOUR presence be our comfort, strength, and shield.
We commit our hearts, minds, and lives entirely to YOU.
Amen 🙏🏾

“My heart says of you, “Seek his face!” Your face, Lord, I will seek.”
Psalms 27:8 NIV

Amen 🙏🏾

"He will keep me safe"

Heavenly Father,
We come before YOU with thanks and praise for YOUR protection!
When we face danger, make us safe in YOUR dwelling, Lord.

We ask that YOU hide us in the secret place of YOUR tent, a place where fear cannot reach us. When we feel overwhelmed, set us high upon a rock, out of reach of the enemy and the storms of life.

Thank YOU that YOU are our refuge and our fortress. We trust in YOUR power to lift us up, giving us security and peace that the world cannot provide. Keep us safe Lord, staying in YOUR presence.
Amen 🙏

“For in the day of trouble he will keep me safe in his dwelling; he will hide me in the shelter of his sacred tent and set me high upon a rock.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭27‬:‭5‬ ‭NIV‬‬

“Peace be with you!”

These were the words Jesus spoke when HE appeared to HIS terrified disciples behind locked doors on the evening of HIS resurrection. Jesus offered peace, validation, and a new mission.

It highlights Christ’s victory over fear, HIS tangible resurrection, and the initiation of the disciples' ministry of peace and reconciliation.

May the peace that passes understanding replace our worry, and may YOUR presence turn our fear into joy. Thank YOU for bringing YOUR peace into our locked rooms.
Amen 🙏🏾

“On the evening of that first day of the week, when the disciples were together, with the doors locked for fear of the Jewish leaders, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!” John 20:19 NIV

Amen 🙏🏾

"I can!"

Just two words that say so much. On our own, these words might be pride, but in Christ, they are a promise.
When the day ahead looks steep or the load feels heavy, remind us that "I can" is only possible because "YOU provide."

Lord, we come to YOU with so much gratitude for the Angels YOU have placed in our lives. We thank YOU for the examples of those who overcome, displaying the type of strength that can only come from YOU.

Thank YOU for the people who walk among us with wide shoulders, carrying their burdens with grace and showing us what is possible through faith. Help us to be that same source of strength for others. When it's time to humbly pick up our cross and follow YOU, have us be reminded, "we can!"

Have us lean into YOUR power, trusting that YOU have equipped us for everything this day holds.
Amen 🙏🏽

“I can do all this through him who gives me strength.”
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭4‬:‭13‬ ‭NIV‬‬

The Call of Every Christian

In the book of 1 Corinthians, the apostle Paul uses metaphors that were a part of their culture to communicate essential truths. Paul relates the work of evangelism to a farmer's work in the field:

"So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow."
1 Corinthians 3:7

Paul's message is clear: while every Christian is empowered with the task of evangelism, it is ultimately God—the Holy Spirit, who grows the seed of faith in an unbeliever's heart. This means others' response to the gospel is not on us as believers; our responsibility is to faithfully share the good news of eternal life.

But, if we're honest, many of us Christians keep our faith to ourselves. There are people who are ready and willing to hear and respond to the gospel message of Jesus Christ—the hope of eternal life. And God wants to use us. He wants to use you!

Today, right where you are—in your job, in your neighborhood, in your family, and in your friend group—everywhere you walk with others, God wants to bring the good news of Jesus Christ.
And you're never alone in this call. God promises that His Spirit will be with you and will lead you, giving you the right words to say as you step out in faith (Matthew 28:20).

Consider what next step you can take to begin sharing Jesus with others. Prepare yourself to have conversations about Christ with your neighbors, coworkers, or friends. Ask God to give you courage, so that the good work He has started in you might also take root in others.

Amen 🙏🏾

"Check Yourself"

Instead of focusing on or condemning the behavior of others, we are called to test our own lives, motives, and actions against the standard of God's Word.

Lord YOUR word today argues against comparing ourselves to others, whether in looking down on someone or envying another's achievements. It highlights that comparing ourselves to others often fuels sinful pride or unnecessary insecurity.

Father, help us to keep our eyes on the path YOU have set before us rather than the lanes of those around us. Grant us the discipline to examine our own hearts with honesty and the humility to seek YOUR guidance where we fall short.

Help us to find joy in our individual progress and the work YOU have assigned to our hands. Let us be so occupied with living out YOUR purpose that we have no room for judgment or envy.
Amen 🙏🏾

“Each one should test their own actions. Then they can take pride in themselves alone, without comparing themselves to someone else,”
Galatians 6:4 NIV

Amen 🙏🏾
