CORRECTION IS PAINFUL, BUT IT’S PART OF YOUR GROWTH. ✝️
Part 2

So when someone lovingly points out something wrong in your life, don't immediately become defensive.

Pause. Pray. Examine your heart.
Ask God, “Lord, what are You trying to teach me through this?”

There is a difference between condemnation and godly correction. Condemnation pushes you away from God and tells you that you are hopeless. Godly correction calls you back to truth, repentance, obedience, and transformation.

If the correction is true, humble yourself.

Say:

“Lord, change me—not just my circumstances.”
Because sometimes the blessing you're asking God for requires a version of you that is willing to grow.

Don't run from correction simply because it makes you uncomfortable. Let God use it to make you wiser, stronger, humbler, and more Christlike. 🙏🏾

And remember: being corrected does not mean you are a failure. It means there is still room for God to work in you.
The goal is not to become someone who never makes mistakes. The goal is to become someone who is humble enough to learn, repent, change, and keep following Jesus.

Correction may hurt today, but the growth it produces can bless your life tomorrow.

Not every correction is rejection.
Not every rebuke is an attack.
Not every uncomfortable truth is meant to hurt you.

Sometimes, God allows people to correct us because He loves us too much to leave us the way we are.

We often pray for God to bless us, strengthen us, and use us—but we sometimes forget that before God can use us greatly, He must also shape our character.

Correction can expose our pride.
It can reveal our wrong motives.
It can challenge our attitude.
It can confront our sinful habits.
It can show us areas where we still need to surrender to God.

And yes, it can hurt.

But growth is rarely comfortable.

A seed must be buried before it grows.
Gold must pass through fire before it is refined.
A disciple must be willing to be corrected before he can become more like Christ.

The Bible says:

> “My son, do not despise the LORD’s discipline, and do not resent his rebuke, because the LORD disciplines the one he loves.”
— Proverbs 3:11–12

Part 3
The greatest evidence of church growth is not simply more people coming through the doors—it is more people becoming like Jesus.

“And we all… are being transformed into His image with ever-increasing glory.” — 2 Corinthians 3:18

Church growth is ultimately about Christ being formed in His people.

Numbers are not the enemy. But numbers without transformation are not the ultimate measure of success.

One changed life can be more powerful than a thousand people sitting in a building without surrendering their hearts to God.

Let us not become obsessed with how big the church looks. Let us become passionate about how deeply people know Jesus.

May our churches not only grow larger, but grow deeper.
Not only attract crowds, but develop disciples.
Not only increase attendance, but increase obedience.
Not only fill buildings, but fill hearts with Christ.

Church Growth Is Not Just About Numbers—It’s About Becoming More Like Christ. ✝️

A church can be filled with thousands of people, have beautiful buildings, powerful programs, and packed services—but true spiritual growth cannot be measured by attendance alone.

The real question is:

Are people becoming more like Jesus?

Are hearts being transformed?
Are lives being surrendered to God?
Are believers growing in love, humility, obedience, forgiveness, holiness, and compassion?
Are we becoming disciples who live out the Word—not just hear it on Sunday?

Because the goal of the Church is not simply to fill seats, but to transform lives.

Jesus did not call us merely to gather crowds. He called us to make disciples.

A growing church should produce growing Christians.

More people should mean more people who pray.
More people who serve.
More people who forgive.
More people who love their enemies.
More people who care for the broken.
More people who resist sin.
More people who carry their cross.
More people who reflect the character of Christ wherever they go.
