🗣️ The world needs to hear this!
You need a Savior. Everyone has sinned (Romans 3) and that sin is against a perfectly holy God who has to punish sin - we will all be judged when we die (Hebrews 9:27).
On our own, we are hopeless. On your own, you are hopeless.
But you don't have to be on your own.
Jesus Christ paid the ENTIRE PRICE for your salvation! He lived the perfect life you should have lived, and He died the death that you should have died (2 Corinthians 5:20-21). And after three days, He rose from the dead and there is hope for everyone who hears - THIS PERFECT MAN - JESUS CHRIST - IS ALIVE! When you trust in Him, you stand IN HIM. And there is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus! (Romans 8:1)
He has done all the work.
He died and was separated from God so you don't have to be.
He has paid the entire price.
Don't trust yourself. You can't.
Trust Him.
Your salvation depends on it.

Have you failed? Peter did.
Sometimes we feel like quitting. It's normal. Believer, you serve a Savior who doesn't give up on you. Peter denied Jesus (three times!) and Jesus didn't give up on him. After that low of lows, Peter still had the chance to preach at Pentecost. But even after that high of highs, Peter stayed faithful. He shows, as one man puts it, that a life of following Christ is a "long obedience in the same direction."
If your past includes failure, even serious failure, be encouraged that Christ wasn't done with Peter, and Christ doesn't need to be done with you either.

🚨 CHURCH PLANTS: Acts 13-14 shows us how to do it - obey the Great Commission. It originates with God. The Spirit calls. And a church was willing to send.
Paul and Barnabas were faithful! And look at the fruit:
Disciples in Cyprus
Disciples in Pisidia
Disciples in Antioch
Disciples in Iconium
Disciples in Lystra
Disciples in Derbe
Disciples in other places along the way.
May we have the courage to actually go.
And may we have the courage to complete what you start.
Soulds need to be strengthened, believers need to persever, elders need to be appointed.
These things aren't a distraction to real missions; they are part of the mission itself!

🖤 Sometimes we forget that the biggest battle is not out there - the biggest battle is in our hearts because we still want the wrong things (I John 2) - the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life!
The church in Acts 14 had legitimate spiritual needs as a young church. All young churches need:
1️⃣ All young churches need strengthened souls.
2️⃣ All young churches need encouragement to persevere.
3️⃣ All young churches need qualified pastoral leadership.
4️⃣ All young churches need the Lord's ongoing protection.

It’s not about the instruments.
It’s not about the song selection.
It’s not even about the quality, although we love all those things.

It’s about the voices of the believers together.
It’s about the truth.
It’s about the wholeheartedness, the gusto, the sincerity, the authenticity.

Did you know that the people of God has always been a singing people? Think about this for a moment-
🌊 From the song of Moses and Miriam on the day the Lord delivered Israel through the Red Sea…
🪉 To David making music to King Saul…
🇮🇱 To the people of Israel singing songs of ascent on the way to Jerusalem to worship the Lord there…
🗣️ To the prophets telling us that God actually delights over us with a song…
⭐️ To Mary’s Magnificat - a song of praise to the Lord…
🍞 To Jesus and the disciples singing a hymn after the Lord’s Supper as we see in the Gospels…
⛪️ To the Church being commanded to sing to one another in psalms, and hymns, and spiritual songs…
🎵 To the songs that are going to fill the air of Heaven one day…

The people of God have always been a singing people, and for all eternity, the people of God will still be a singing people. LET EVERYTHING THAT HAS BREATH PRAISE THE LORD!
