Thank your Dad for being the shelter He has always been
“In the fear of the Lord one has strong confidence, and his children will have a refuge,” (Proverbs 14:26).
THIS SUNDAY IS FATHER'S DAY - JUNE 21, 2026
Thank your dad for reflecting God’s compassion
“As a father shows compassion to his children, so the Lord shows compassion to those who fear him,” (Psalm 103:13).
Thank your dad for showing you how to live with integrity
“The father of the righteous will greatly rejoice; he who fathers a wise son will be glad in him,” (Proverbs 23:24).
Remind your dad that he has not just measured the temperature of your home. He has set it
“But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord,” (Joshua 24:15).
Thank your dad for choosing love over condemnation when you messed up
“Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins,” (1 Peter 4:8).
Tell your dad thank you for the times he has fought for you
“Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called and about which you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses,” (1 Timothy 6:12).
Let Dad know you are praying for him and thank him for his prayers on your behalf
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God,” (Philippians 4:6)
