**Food Pantry Update**

Unfortunately, **tomorrow's (Wednesday, October 14) Food Pantry distribution is canceled.**

Storm damage has left our Food Pantry without power, resulting in the loss of our frozen food.

We are heartbroken to be unable to serve our neighbors during this time of great need.

**If you are facing an urgent food crisis, please contact the church.** We will help however we can.

We hope to resume distribution next week.

What a blessing this community is! In the midst of the challenges we’ve faced, we are so grateful for the love and care we’ve seen, and we can’t wait to come together tomorrow morning!

Leave your Sunday finest at home this week and come as you are!

Here’s the plan for tomorrow Sunday, October 11th

9:30 AM – Breakfast & Community Response
Join us for breakfast as we connect those who still need help with those who are able to lend a hand.

10:30 AM – Worship
A time to gather, pray, and find peace and strength in our faith and one another.

After Worship – Church Grounds Cleanup
Anyone willing and able is invited to stay and help us clear the church grounds.

Our hope is for Holy Cross to be a home base for our community in the days ahead, bringing people together to care for one another.

We are better together, and we can’t wait to see you tomorrow!

It is an overwhelming morning, but we are coming together in the love of God and a spirit of service to care for our neighbors.

Right now, we are working to check on everyone and coordinate assistance for those who need it.

If you need help or support, or if you are in a position to help others, please reach out to Janelle. 850 530 3959

We have a particular need for volunteers with chainsaws who can help clear fallen trees and debris for those who are unable to get out.

Please continue to pray for our community and for everyone affected by the storm. We are in this together, and together we will care for one another.

Dear Friends,

We hope you are preparing your life for the storm which is heading our way this weekend. HERE IS OURS:

NO Worship on the River. Worship will be at church this Sunday. We have gas and I have been assured that we will serve breakfast on Sunday with or without electricity. We certainly will have worship.

ALSO, we have been collecting names of people who need to be checked on after the storm - those who are without support networks or may be elderly or ill. We also are collecting names for those who would like to volunteer to help others after the storm - from phone calls and drive-bys to chainsaws and picking up sticks. If you know of anyone to add to either list, please respond to this email with that info.

AFTER THE STORM: by Saturday afternoon things should have cleared up. If you have any major crisis please let us know. On Sunday, if things are a mess, those who can make it will come to worship and we will organize our response to help each other. 

Do not be afraid. Be wise. Seek the help you need now and afterwards. Put your hope in God.
