Jesus was moved with deep compassion for the crowds—a compassion that stirred His whole being and compelled Him to act with divine mercy.

This reveals the heart of Christ’s mission. God is not distant, indifferent, or eager to condemn. In Jesus, divine mercy becomes visible and personal. His Sacred Heart is consumed with love for us, always seeking to heal, restore, and draw us closer to Himself.

That same compassion continues through the Church, especially in the Sacraments, and through each of us. Just as Jesus sent the Apostles to proclaim the Kingdom and bring healing to others, He sends us to become instruments of His mercy.

We begin with those closest to us—our families and friends—and then extend Christ’s compassion to everyone God places in our lives. May our words, actions, and love reflect the mercy of His Sacred Heart and reassure others of God’s unfailing love.

When Jesus proclaimed, “My flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink,” many were shocked and some walked away. Yet Jesus did not soften His teaching.
Peter’s response shows us the way: “Master, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.”
On Corpus Christi, we renew our faith in the Eucharist: the true Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Christ. May we never approach the Mass out of routine, but with awe, reverence, and love for the Lord who gives Himself completely to us.

Allison Ann Dickinson-Meci, age 40, passed away unexpectedly on May 5, 2026 in Henderson, Nevada. Born on November 11, 1985, Allison spent her formative years in the coastal Mississippi area, graduating from Ocean Springs High School before pursuing her education across the state. She was a longtime resident of Pascagoula.

A vibrant and creative spirit, Allison was known for her love of the arts, her expressive talents, and her deep affection for nature. Above all else, her primary calling and greatest pride was her role as a mother and beloved wife. Throughout her life, she bore a quiet, chronic physical battle with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome with immense resilience, refusing to let her daily pain diminish her fierce love and dedication to her family and friends.

She is survived by her children, Robert, Daisy, and Lily; her husband, Cory Meci; her parents Rosemary Gandy and Michael Dickinson; her brother, David; her sisters, Dana and Kirsten; and an extremely vast but close-knit extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will miss her protective heart and bright presence.

She was preceded in death by her beloved grandparents, Ann and Robert “Chappye” Chapman; and Mary and Jack Dickinson; longtime residents of the Pascagoula and OLV community.

A Memorial Service will be celebrated on Friday, June 12, 2026, at Our Lady of Victories (OLV) Church in Pascagoula, Mississippi, beginning at 11:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in Allison's memory to the Ehlers-Danlos Society to support research into invisible chronic illnesses or to the family directly for her children.
