Summer weather is upon us. The National Weather Service is forecasting hot weather through Saturday, minor coastal flooding near high tide, and fire weather in the East Bay hills and North Bay mountains. Widespread hot weather is anticipated across a good portion of the Bay Area, including Palo Alto ranging as high as 96 on Thursday, low 90s Friday, and high 80s Saturday. Hot weather increases the risk of heat-related health complications such as heat stroke, heat exhaustion, dehydration, hyperthermia, and heat cramps. First Church will have a table at the Palo Alto Pride Festival--we hope we'll see you there! 🏳️‍🌈 🏳️‍⚧️

Palo Alto’s first Pride event is coming to King Plaza at City Hall on Sunday, June 7. We are excited for the community to take part in this fun, intergenerational celebration. We will have a stage program with various speakers and performers from our community, combining and mixing different topics and performance mediums (dance, singing, poetry) for a well-balanced and engaging set. From 2 – 5 p.m., local organizations will be tabling around the plaza and community will gather in celebration.
