Greetings, Beloved Congregation and Friends of Palo Alto Adventist Church,

As another Sabbath approaches, let us take a moment to pause, reflect, and prepare our hearts to hear from the Lord. We warmly invite you to join us as we come together for worship and the study of God’s Word. This Sabbath, Pastor Victor Salazar is visiting us from Sunnyvale SDA Church. He will be sharing the message entitled “Isn't this Joseph's Son?,” with the Scripture reading from Luke 4:20-22. We look forward to gathering with you and discovering what God has placed in His Word for us this Sabbath.

Sermon Abstract
We stand in the presence of greatness, and still miss out completely on the significance of it. What causes such unawareness? How do we overcome it?

I invite you to come with expectant hearts as we worship together and receive the encouragement and wisdom found in God's Holy Word.

This Sabbath, I, Head Elder Alex Clerk, will be sharing the message entitled “When Perfection Becomes an Idol,” with the Scripture reading from John 16:1-2 NKJV. We look forward to gathering with you and discovering what God has placed in His Word for us this Sabbath.

Sermon Abstract
Some evil is easy to recognize — hatred, cruelty, and dishonesty. But there is a more subtle evil: wrong committed by people who believe they are doing right.

Jesus warned: “The time is coming that whoever kills you will think that he offers God service.” — John 16:2

We can become so convinced of the righteousness of our cause that we fail to recognize the wrongness of our behavior.

We need not look to extreme examples. It can happen close to home when our passion for the perfect church, family, doctrine, society, or Christian life makes us impatient and intolerant of imperfect people.

I invite you to come with expectant hearts as we worship together and receive the encouragement and wisdom found in God's Holy Word.

Greetings, Beloved Congregation and Friends of Palo Alto Adventist Church,

With hearts full of gratitude, we invite you to join us this sabbath for a worship service made even more meaningful as we celebrate the 95th birthday of our beloved patriarch and steadfast pillar of the church, Elder Bill Blythe.

On this special day, he will bring God's message entitled "Suggested When Approaching God," with the Scripture reading taken from Proverbs 3:5-6. As we celebrate God's enduring grace in his life, may we also be encouraged and strengthened through His Holy Word.

Sermon Abstract
This talk is directed to believers; those of you who accept the Christian idea of
God – that God is our friend and helper and intervenes in our lives if we permit it. I am suggesting that when we approach God in prayer, we would do well to have an attitude of TRUST and an attitude of THANKFULNESS. Attitudes are important. I think we can control our attitudes to a great extent, though it takes conscious effort, self-awareness, and practice. Scripture admonishes us to TRUST and to express THANKFULNESS to God.

I invite you to come with expectant hearts as we worship together and receive the encouragement and wisdom found in God's Holy Word.
