Hi, nurses and nursing students! The angels’ song still rings true today: Christ came bringing peace, even in a world full of chaos. As we close this year, let’s thank God for His presence through every shift, every trial, and every blessing.

“Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.” – Luke 2:14 NIV

Prayer:
Father, I give You all the glory. Thank You for the peace You give that the world cannot take away. As this year ends, help me rest in Your presence and step into the new year with faith and gratitude. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Christmas is more than lights on a tree. It’s about the true Light who came to rescue us. As nurses, we see daily how much people need that hope. We get to share it in our words, in our care, and in how we love others.

“The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world.” – John 1:9 NIV

Prayer:
Lord, thank You for sending Jesus, the true Light, into the world. Let my life reflect Your light in ways that draw others closer to You. Give me boldness to share Your hope in both actions and words. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Hi, nurses and nursing students! I hope you had a restful weekend. Let’s proceed on with week two of the December “Scrubbed in with Scripture” series.

We walk through hallways lit with fluorescent bulbs, but true light comes from Christ. Can I get an Amen? 😇 His presence leads us through uncertainty and gives us the strength to care with both skill and grace.

“When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, ‘I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.’” – John 8:12

Prayer:
Jesus, You are the Light of the World. Lead my steps and let Your light fill my heart so that others see You in me. Help me bring warmth, peace, and hope into even the most challenging shifts. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Advent reminds us that Christ came as light in the darkest places. Hallelujah!

Nursing often takes us into moments where people feel hopeless, afraid, or alone. We get to carry His light into those spaces. We do so through our compassion, presence, and prayer. Have you ever prayed for a coworker who needed to be uplifted. I get chills when I talk about Christ with others. Be a light everywhere you go. 💛

“The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of deep darkness a light has dawned.” – Isaiah 9:2 NIV

Prayer:
Lord, thank You for being the Light that overcomes all darkness. Help me shine Your hope and love to every patient, family member, and coworker I encounter this week. Let my words and actions point to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen. 🧡

This Thanksgiving week, we pause to remember: God is our provider. We may face hard days, but in Him, we lack nothing. He gives strength for every shift, peace for every storm, and love that never runs out.

“The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.” – Psalm 23:1 NIV

Prayer:
Lord, thank You for being my Shepherd and for meeting my every need. Remind me that in You, I truly lack nothing. Help me walk into this week with a heart full of gratitude and a spirit of generosity toward others. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Peace in nursing doesn’t come from a quiet shift. Peace comes from trusting Christ in the middle of the chaos. When His peace rules our hearts, gratitude follows, even when the world around us is rushing. When you’re in the thick of it, pray to feel His peace over you. 💛

“Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.” – Colossians 3:15 NIV

Prayer:
Lord, fill my heart with Your peace that surpasses understanding. Help me to carry that peace into every interaction with patients, coworkers, and even in moments of stress. May gratitude be the song of my heart. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Nursing gives us front-row seats to God’s goodness. Sometimes you’ll see it in big miracles, sometimes in small mercies like a patient’s smile or a moment to rest. Gratitude grows when we pause to notice those moments and give God the praise He deserves. When you’re feeling happy, take a pause and remember how blessed you are. 🧡

“I will give thanks to you, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonderful deeds.” – Psalm 9:1 NIV

Prayer:
Lord, I thank You for the privilege of serving others and witnessing Your goodness in my daily work. Teach me to notice and celebrate every blessing You place before me, and let my heart overflow with thankfulness. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Hi, nurses and nursing students! Can you believe it’s already November? Let’s continue on with our Scrubbed In With Scripture series.

Some days go exactly as planned; others test every bit of patience and skill we have. Gratitude doesn’t mean ignoring the hard times, it means finding God’s hand in every moment. Even in challenges, He is faithful. Even when things don’t work out your way, His way is higher and He has good plans for you.

“Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” – 1 Thessalonians 5:18 NIV

Prayer:
Lord, help me to see Your blessings even on the toughest days. Give me a heart that chooses gratitude in every circumstance and eyes to see Your faithfulness in the smallest details. Thank You for Your constant presence with me at work and in life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Can you relate? 🧐 Some days it feels like the good we do goes unseen. In nursing, we pour out our time, energy, and hearts, often without immediate results. But God promises that every act of kindness, every moment of care, every prayer whispered over a patient matters. 💛
He reminds us that in His timing, the seeds we sow will produce a harvest…if we do not give up! So keep going, you’ve got to this. 🌾

“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” – Galatians 6:9 NIV

Prayer:
Lord, thank You for the privilege of serving others through nursing. When my energy fades and my spirit feels weary, remind me that the work I do in Your name has eternal value. Give me strength to keep going, faith to trust Your timing, and joy in knowing You see every act of love. In Jesus’ Mighty name, Amen.

Nursing is rewarding, but it can be heavy at times. Some days we carry more than we realize. The faces we see, the stories we hear, and the situations we walk through can follow us home.

There is good news though. We were never meant to carry it all alone. 💛 God invites us to hand Him every worry, fear, and burden because His care for us is constant, personal, and unshakable. What an awesome God we serve!

“Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” – 1 Peter 5:7 NIV

Some days in nursing leave us running on empty. Can you relate? Sometimes I feel physically, emotionally, and spiritually drained and that’s when I know I need to regroup and refocus on Him. God never asks us to pour from a dry cup. 💛 When we trust Him, He fills us with joy and peace that no situation can take away.

Today, let’s lean into His promise and let His hope overflow through us to every patient, coworker, and family we encounter. 🌾

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” – Romans 15:13 NIV

Hi, nurses and nursing students! Can you believe how quickly the year is flying by? October brings cooler mornings and new rhythms. In nursing, our days can start in chaos, but God reminds us to pause and breathe in His presence before we step onto the floor. When we start with Him, we carry peace into every patient room, meeting, or discussion. 🌿

“Be still, and know that I am God.” – Psalm 46:10 NIV
