Thank you to all that came to our Community Yard Sale today. We hope everyone had a wonderful time and got a great find. It was awesome meeting and greeting new faces. We had an unexpected community swarm in today, but as always … all are welcomed! And today’s guests are definitely dire for our community.

We learned a bit about our unexpected but welcomed community. A colony of Honey Bees decided to rest at one of best Air Bee & B branches in one of our trees. They swarmed in, and after about 45 minutes to an hour, settled right on down and rested. We wanted to save the bees, natures pollinators. We were able to contact a Bee Keeper that was able to come out and hopefully relocate the bees that were resting about 30ft high (or more) on the tree branch.

We were able to watch her set up her box and screens for the bees to build their combs and make their honey. We learned that a strong scent of lemon grass (and it was most certainly strong) is used to help lure them to the area. Forger Bees will come check it out, see if the conditions are ideal and if it checks out okay, will report back to the Queen and colony its recommendations on relocating. So hopefully within a few hours or a few days we will know if the bees are staying or going.
