Homework Helpers at Bethel Baptist Church Bible Lesson along with help with homework. We are open to all children on Mondays. During the school year we are open from 3:00 until 6:00.

We offer a Bible Lesson, homework help, a snack, and time to play. There is no cost, this is free.

Romans 10:9-10

The earlier revelation was intended simply to get us ready for the Messiah, who then puts everything right for those who trust him to do it. Moses wrote that anyone who insists on using the law code to live right before God soon discovers it’s not so easy—every detail of life regulated by fine print! But trusting God to shape the right living in us is a different story—no precarious climb up to heaven to recruit the Messiah, no dangerous descent into hell to rescue the Messiah. So what exactly was Moses saying? The word that saves is right here, as near as the tongue in your mouth, as close as the heart in your chest. It’s the word of faith that welcomes God to go to work and set things right for us. This is the core of our preaching. Say the welcoming word to God—“Jesus is my Master”—embracing, body and soul, God’s work of doing in us what he did in raising Jesus from the dead. That’s it. You’re not “doing” anything; you’re simply calling out to God, trusting him to do it for you. That’s salvation. With your whole being you embrace God setting things right, and then you say it, right out loud: “God has set everything right between him and me!”

Let every detail in your lives—words, actions, whatever—be done in the name of the Master, Jesus, thanking God the Father every step of the way. * * *

Ephesians 2:8-10
Now God has us where he wants us, with all the time in this world and the next to shower grace and kindness upon us in Christ Jesus. Saving is all his idea, and all his work. All we do is trust him enough to let him do it. It’s God’s gift from start to finish! We don’t play the major role. If we did, we’d probably go around bragging that we’d done the whole thing! No, we neither make nor save ourselves. God does both the making and saving. He creates each of us by Christ Jesus to join him in the work he does, the good work he has gotten ready for us to do, work we had better be doing.

I am so thankful that my salvation is God’s gift!
I am so thankful that it is God’s work!
I could never do it on my own!
I thank God every day that He keeps me going!

GOD takes the wind out of Babel pretense, he shoots down the world’s power-schemes. GOD’s plan for the world stands up, all his designs are made to last. Blessed is the country with GOD for God; blessed are the people he’s put in his will.

2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

2 Chronicles 7:15 Now mine eyes shall be open, and mine ears attent unto the prayer that is made in this place.
2 Chronicles 7:16 For now have I chosen and sanctified this house, that my name may be there for ever: and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually.

Thinking about our country on this 4th of July !
Isn't it good to know that God is in charge! Isn't it good to know that God is for us! Isn't it good to know that all we need to do is seek Him, turn to Him, ask forgiveness and He will heal our land!
