We are grateful to welcome Tim and Noah Winegeart as new members of the Emmanuel family!

Tim and Noah were officially welcomed last Sunday after joining through our new members class and signing the church covenant. They’ve expressed a desire to be part of a God-centered church that faithfully preaches the Word. Through the young adults class, they’ve already experienced the love for the Lord within Emmanuel and are excited to be part of what God is doing here.

They both have a heart to serve—Tim is especially interested in the Worship/AV team, and Noah is eager to serve in children’s ministry, while also remaining open to helping wherever there is a need.

We are thankful the Lord has brought them to Emmanuel—be sure to welcome them and encourage them as they continue getting connected!

We are grateful to welcome Rebecca “Beckie” Shearer as a new member of the Emmanuel family!

Beckie has joined through our new members class and by signing the church covenant, expressing her desire to be part of a devoted church community that functions like a family—where she can be known, cared for, and encouraged in her walk with Christ. She values the accountability of membership and the opportunity for personalized spiritual guidance as she continues to grow in her faith.

She has a heart to serve and is especially interested in greeting, while remaining open to helping wherever there is a need within the church and community.

We are thankful the Lord has brought Beckie to Emmanuel—be sure to welcome her and encourage her as she gets connected!

And if you’re looking for a place to worship, we’d love to have you join us tomorrow morning at 10:45am. Come be part of what God is doing in our church family.

THE Lesson From Stephen's Martyrdom

It's very easy to look at the story of Stephen's martyrdom in Acts and pull a lesson out that says we need to be courageous in the face of adversity, or have the courage to stand up for Christ no matter the consequences. But the beautiful message we see from this passage is the Gospel transformation that has taken place in the life of Stephen, believing in Christ just a few week prior, and being so transformed by the Gospel that he is willing to stand up and die cheerfully for the cause of Christ.
