Good morning Ladies,

Please mark you calendars for the following dates.

Oct 11th General Meeting in the conference room after Liturgy. Grab your coffee and food and we can eat and talk there.

Nov 1st National Philoptochos Day, we will host coffee hour. We have a donation of ground beef so we will do something simple like a taco bar or chili dogs. We will need help with prep and clean up.

Nov 8th 9:00 am Prep at church for our Thanksgiving luncheon. We will cook the turkeys and prep the sides. Need lots of hands for that.

Nov 9th Annual Thanksgiving Luncheon, this is a big fundraiser for our chapter. We will have a sign-up sheet asking for help with prep, serving and cleanup.

Together as one we can do it all. 😊

On a side note, please make sure you invite your friends and family to join our chapter. The more the merrier. There are member forms in an envelope on our bulletin board.

Thank you!!!
~Rhonda

On May 17th after Liturgy we will be assembling Kindness Bags.

The idea behind the Kindness bags (or blessing bags) for the homeless are small, portable care packages filled with essential toiletries, non-perishable food, and comfort items. They aim to provide immediate relief for daily needs, acknowledge the recipient's humanity with dignity, and offer a simple, actionable way to show compassion.
We will put together 200 1-gallon bags that parishioners can take and keep in their car for when they encounter someone in need, as we all do on a daily basis. We will include an icon card with a note of encouragement.
Below is a link to an Amazon gift list. We are asking Philoptochos members as well as parishioners to once again show your generosity and purchase an item for the Kindness Bags.
All items purchased will be shipped directly to me.

If you can do so, we thank you for your love, support and compassion. As this is what makes us Philoptochos, it’s what we do.
Thanks so much! 😊
~Rhonda
