Omaha Reformed Church

Omaha Reformed Church A Church where the Ancient Truths Live! "Worship the Lord in the Beauty of Holiness!" We believe what the Church has always believed.

We believe the Scriptures are sufficient and clearly teach what we need to know about God and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. For this reason, we not only embrace the Ecumenical Creeds of the early Church (Apostles, Nicene and Athanasian Creeds), but also the historic summaries composed by leaders of the Protestant Reformation. These include the Three Forms of Unity: Belgic Confession, Heidelberg Catechism, and the Canons of Dort. They are crystal clear summaries of what is taught in God's Word.

"Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching." - 2 Timothy 4:2

Omaha Reformed Church believes that proclaiming the Gospel of Christ is our singular task. We believe the Holy Spirit works faith in the hearts and lives of God's people by the preaching of the Holy Gospel.

Chief among the church's responsibilities is teaching, training, and discipling new believers in the fundamental truths of the Christian Church. For this reason, we not only want to see new converts, but we also want to see God's children "grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. 2 Peter 3:18

Samira didn’t know Jesus when her daughter was killed in the protests. She was a grieving mother—broken and searching for hope.

But God met her in her pain.

Through the love and support of believers, Samira came to faith. Today, her mourning has become her mission—bringing hope to other grieving parents.

And she is not alone.

Across Iran, many are mourning loss while facing deep hardship. Hearts are open like never before.

This is the moment to share the grace and mercy of God.

Your support helps us reach people like Samira—those who are ready to receive Christ even in their pain.

Will you stand with us?

Together, we can bring hope to a nation longing for freedom

THANKING THE LORD, FOR ALL HE PROVIDES
“1 ¶ I love the LORD, because He has heard My voice and my supplications.
2 Because He has inclined His ear to me, Therefore I will call upon Him as long as I live.
3 The pains of death surrounded me, And the pangs of Sheol laid hold of me; I found trouble and sorrow.
4 Then I called upon the name of the LORD: “O LORD, I implore You, deliver my soul!”
5 Gracious is the LORD, and righteous; Yes, our God is merciful. Psalm 116:1-5

This week we are pivoting to Psalm 116 for a Lord’s supper sermon and a passage quite suitable for Mother’s Day. Psalm 116 is a Psalm that should be close to each of our hearts. As the psalmist expresses his gratitude, he is also expressing ours.

In 1 Samuel 19 we witness the continued decline of King Saul. The chapter begins by Saul instructing Jonathan and all his servants that they should kill David.
He sends his servants... really his assassins to watch where David goes and to kill him in the morning.
Of course God protects David and supernaturally causes his Spirit to subdue those who intend to harm the future king, David. www.sermonaudio.com/sermons/5126213110280

Scripture: Luke 24:1-12 Text: Luke 24:5-8
Sermon The Angels Announce the Resurrection Christ
Points: I. A Question
II. A Declaration
III. A Reminder

Today is Easter Sunday. It is the culmination of Christ's work. In a very real way, we celebrate Easter 52 times a year. Christ came to redeem His people from their sins. It is positive proof that Christ paid the debt and satisfied divine justice. In this He broke the power of sin and death. Because He was victorious He received all power and authority. Rev. 1:18 says that He now possesses the keys to death and Hades.
