God sent Jesus with the offer of freedom and healing and life. Healing for our wounded hearts (“The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because He has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed,” Luke 4:18) and life abundant (“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” John 10:10). God accomplishes this work through us as we fellowship together. We see LIFE groups as a highly effective way for God to empower people to lay down addictions, bondages, and sins. These groups, in combination with relevant Biblical teaching (“All scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” 2 Tim 3:16-17) and the power of God, allow us to experience freedom, healing and life.
