Pentecost was the day the Holy Spirit was poured out on the early Church in Acts 2 — filling ordinary people with power, boldness, and the presence of God. It marked the beginning of the Church being sent out to carry the Gospel to the world. 🕊️🔥

This Sunday, we celebrate the same Spirit that still moves, transforms, and empowers believers today.

Join us tomorrow at 10 AM as we worship together and make room for what God wants to do.

Happy Mother’s Day!

Moms are clothed with strength and dignity, and are often times a reflection of the Father’s love for US! Moms, we appreciate you and your love shown! May you feel so celebrated and know that God loves YOU! 💖💐

“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.” — 1 Corinthians‬ ‭13‬:‭4‬-‭8‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Some of our best battles are fought in the place of prayer. It is the key that allows us to access heaven, with earthly realities, and witness divine encounters.

Today, May 7th, is recognized as the National Day of Prayer. Globally, the theme for this year is to “Glorify God Among the Nations” — to mobilize prayer in America and encourage personal repentance and righteousness in the culture.

As a church body, this is one of our core pillars, and we believe that prayer is the life line of the church. The stream that flows under, between, and above all that we say and do.

We encourage you today, that no matter what you’re facing, to turn to God and release your concerns to him. To contend and intercede for others, and to have faith in knowing God answers prayers.

To learn more about gatherings near us, comment “prayer” and we’ll send you some info!

_______

“Is anyone among you in trouble? Let them pray. Is anyone happy? Let them sing songs of praise. Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.” — ‭‭James‬ ‭5‬:‭13‬-‭16‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Baptisms are an outward declaration of an inward decision.

In Acts 2, Peter encouraged them saying, “Repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus, for the remission of sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”

What a joy and honor to celebrate NEW LIFE in Christ, in this way.

NEXT WEEK kicks off 7 Days of Fasting and Prayer! 🙏🏽

In Matthew 6, Jesus starts off by saying “When you Fast…,” which suggests that Fasting is not a one time thing. It’s one of the spiritual disciplines that should mark the life of every believer.

As a body, this year, we will have corporate times of fasting throughout the year, and next week is one of them!

This will be a multi-church effort, so various meeting places and times of worship and prayer will be available throughout the week, in the Chicagoland/Oakbrook area.

Save the date:
April 19th-26th
