ARE YOU READY FOR THE LAST DAY OF FANARI SUMMER CAMP 2026!? Well we certainly were! While we definitely had to pivot again today for the safety of our campers and staff, we didn't let it bring down our fun! After Orthros and breakfast, our campers went back to their cabins to begin the cleaning process and received spirit coins from the CLEAN QUEEN! We completed our sessions in Orthodox Life and Bible Study, had another boyoyoing tournament, and played indoor nine square. Later, we were able to head outside for WATER WARS and our dance! Campers danced the night away and then sang the night away at our bonfire! We said goodbye to our Delphians and celebrated their SPIRIT STICK WIN! Thank you to all our campers, clergy, families, and staff for another AMAZING camping ministries year! We look forward to many more and can't wait to see everyone at Fanari Summer Camp 2027!

Well Fanari Camp Family, the air quality may have been bad, but our day ended up AMAZING! We started our day with Divine Liturgy beautifully celebrated with Father Kosmas, Father George, Father Ciprian, and Father Panteleimon. After breakfast, our plans had to change a bit from our usual programming so that we could all stay safe inside. Free time was had as always where campers indulged in indoor nine square, ice cream, and large versions of different games. At lunch, we were blessed with a visit from His Grace Bishop Dionysios of Zenopolis conveying the blessings of His Eminence Metropolitan Nathanael. The rest of our afternoon and evening consisted of four fun filled rotations: arts and crafts, a riveting song game, trivia, and a recent camp favorite BINGO! We ended the day with our spirit winners, the ATHENIANS (winning back to back might we add), an impromptu Greek night round 2, an announcement about a moose (ask your campers...they'll let you know), and finally camp songs! We're all pretty exhausted and ready to go to bed for our LAST FULL DAY OF CAMP OF THE SUMMER!

Today was yet another amazing day at camp, I know...shocking! Our morning was the usual, Orthros, alone time with God, breakfast, and today's flex theme was just fun camp activities like soccer, tie dye, and painting rocks! Our afternoon consisted of the next lesson on Christian Agape in Bible study, and the Sacrament of Holy Confession in Orthodox Life. In Omada, we worked on our service project in partnership with Project H.O.P.E. and in athletics we played nine square in the shade to beat the heat. Our evening activity was a camp staple: the Olympics! Campers participated in games like 4 corners, extreme rock paper scissors, and balloon tag. In the end, the OLYMPIANS came out on top as our winners this week, and the ATHENIANS were awarded the spirit stick! Tomorrow is a long day, but we can't wait!

Even with the hottest day of the summer so far, we had a blast today! After Orthros and breakfast, our flex activities were themed around Orthodoxy. Campers got to make their own incense, learn about the vestments a priest wears, make koliva and prosforo for Liturgy on Thursday, and make prayer rocks! During free time, we beat the heat with mandated camp wide water breaks every 15 minutes and shade breaks every 30. The ice pops were flying off the shelves, and the staff were keeping our campers cool with WATER WARS the entire time. For our evening activity, campers participated in Saint Survivor and later were able to venerate the relics of a few Saints. At closing day, the OLYMPIANS won the spirit stick and we sang a few songs before going to bed!
