St Mark Lutheran Church

St Mark Lutheran Church St Mark Lutheran Church (WELS) strives by God's grace to be a congregation that is Christ-centered, C Eternal life in heaven belongs to all who believe in him.

We are:
Christ-centered: We believe that Jesus Christ is the only Son of God, who offered his life as a sacrifice for the sins of the world and then boldly rose from the dead on Easter. Confessional: We believe that God has preserved and passed down to us a precious heritage from the Reformation. So we believe that the Lutheran Confessions are correct and tru in their exposition of God's Word. Com

mitted: We believe that the Holy Spirit has not promised to create and strengthen faith in any other way than through his Word and the Sacraments. We are committed to upholding the Bible as 100% inspired without mistake or error. Compelled: We believe that Chrsit's love compels us our actions of thanksgiving and gratitude. So we worship our God regularly. We come together to study his Word in formal Christian education. We share our faith with the people around us. In fact, God's people strive to do all "for the glory of God" (I Corinthians 10:31).

Are women today still called to fulfill the role of helper—a role first applied to Eve in Genesis 2:20? Can women serve in leadership positions in the church? Should a woman hold a job where she has men working under her? As members of the body of Christ, men and women are privileged to share blessings and responsibilities in partnering together to serve their Savior. But men and women also have unique callings—callings that can be misunderstood, that sometimes feel out of step with our world today. Reflections on Our Unique Callings is a series of twice-weekly devotions from WELS Women’s Ministry that explores biblical principles and applications, poses thoughts and questions for further reflection, and encourages conversations on how these unique callings find their fulfillment in their lives.

His podcast features in-depth discussions on mental wellness topics with various guests, including WELS members and mental health experts. Kohls integrates Christianity and wellness, providing listeners with insights into mental and emotional well-being from a Bible-based perspective, while maintaining a non-doctrinal approach.

Due to Pastor Lindke's vacation, the Jesus Cares Ministry Presentation, and Confirmation Sunday, the elders have decided to adjust the communion dates for June. We will now observe the Lord's Supper on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month, rather than the 1st and 3rd. Therefore, there will be NO Lord's Supper on June 7th and 21st, but YES on June 14th and 28th. We appreciate your understanding and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Lord Jesus, as we honor those who sacrificed their lives in service to our nation, we ask for comfort for the hearts still burdened with grief and loss. Remind us that for those who call upon your name, death is not the end. Because you died and rose again, your followers hold onto the promise of eternal life. Strengthen those who remember the fallen with the assurance of your empty tomb. Lord, through the blood and sacrifice of those who have passed, you continue to bless our nation with freedoms, especially the freedom to share your truths. Prevent any further loss of life. Grant us peace so that your Word may thrive among the citizens of this great country. In your name, I pray. Amen.
