St Mark Lutheran Church (WELS) strives by God's grace to be a congregation that is Christ-centered Eternal life in heaven belongs to all who believe in him.

Christ-centered: We believe that Jesus Christ is the only Son of God, who offered his life as a sacrifice for the sins of the world and then boldly rose from the dead on Easter. Confessional: We believe that God has preserved and passed down to us a precious heritage from the Reformation. So we believe that the Lutheran Confessions are correct and tru in their exposition of God's Word. Com

mitted: We believe that the Holy Spirit has not promised to create and strengthen faith in any other way than through his Word and the Sacraments. We are committed to upholding the Bible as 100% inspired without mistake or error. Compelled: We believe that Chrsit's love compels us our actions of thanksgiving and gratitude. So we worship our God regularly. We come together to study his Word in formal Christian education. We share our faith with the people around us. In fact, God's people strive to do all "for the glory of God" (I Corinthians 10:31).

Get ready to dive back into faith and fellowship! Sunday School starts back up on Sunday, September 13th! We're excited to reconnect with our community and explore the word of God together. We hope to see you there at 9am, ready to learn and grow with us!📚 We also have adult and teen classes at the same time!🙏

Each year, we as brothers and sisters in faith, walk upon the field of battle, as we shoot each other with little foam darts. At the same time, we those who think this will be funny to watch, to observe the chaos, and merriment. This year, we are planning our event on September 20th. This is one week later than we normally meet, so that we don’t have to wait for our meetings to be finished. We will be serving hot dogs, for those who want one, and encourage everyone to bring a dish to pass. Come and enjoy our monthly Friends & Food get-together.

When danger strikes, most people instinctively move away from it. Fire, violence, accidents, and disasters trigger a natural desire to find protection and safety. Yet first responders do the opposite. Firefighters, police officers, and paramedics run toward the very scenes others are fleeing. They enter burning buildings, approach violent situations, and kneel beside the injured in chaotic moments. This response is unexpected because it goes against basic human instinct.
Today God calls us to be spiritual first responders when we see people in trouble because of sin. Instead of self-preservation and comfort, we choose service to them and to our Lord. Our motive is the grace of God and his desire for the salvation of all mankind.

On September 13th, we will go back to our normal worship schedule. We will have Sunday school, and adult Bible classes at 9am. Our worship service will be at 10:15am.

Help your neighbor and donate to our Little Free Pantry today! It's been wonderful to see how well our community has embraced this project. A little support goes a long way, buying one extra non-perishable when doing your groceries is an easy way to support it!

For the safety please leave consumables in their factory packaging. This allows those with allergies and children to use our pantry with a little less worry and concern.

We thank the members who have taken on weekly maintenance of the LFP.

One day hope will no longer be necessary. Faith will become sight when we see Jesus’ face and rejoice in the glory that cannot be compared to present suffering. Until that day, we live in hope—not because we are guessing what the future holds, but because we know the One who holds the future.

Prayer:
Lord Jesus, thank you for accomplishing my salvation completely. When my eyes are fixed on the troubles of this world, turn my heart again to your sure promises. Amen.

We do not pretend life is easy. We bring our griefs, disappointments, and fears to our Savior. We groan and pray fervently. And we wait eagerly, knowing that every day brings us one step closer to the moment when our groans are drowned out by the song of victory that God’s children will one day sing forever.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank you for making me your child through faith in Jesus. When I grow weary under the burdens of this life, strengthen my hope as I wait for the resurrection of my body and the joy of living forever in your presence. Through Jesus Christ, my risen Savior. Amen.

Because Christ carried the cross first, your crosses are never signs that God has abandoned you. They are reminders that you are following the Savior who walked this road before you. More than that, they assure you that suffering is never the final chapter of your story. The day is coming when tears will be wiped away, and sin will trouble you no more. Your body will be raised in glory, and you will stand forever in the presence of the One who redeemed you. Until then, fix your eyes not on the weight of today’s cross but on the certainty of tomorrow’s crown.

Prayer:
Lord Jesus, when the crosses of this life seem too heavy to bear, lift my eyes to the glory you have prepared for me. Remind me that you carried the greatest cross so that I might receive the crown of life. Strengthen my faith to endure with hope until the day I see you face to face. In your holy name I pray. Amen.

Some churches teach that if a person follows God, God responds by granting prosperity and peace, as would only be expected. Today we see how that is nonsense. The Bible explains that if we are part of the Church of God, we will have bear crosses. Believers suffer in this world, sometimes just because they are believers.
Why bother? We carry our crosses in gratitude for Jesus carrying his cross, one too heavy for us because it was weighted down with our sin. We carry our crosses because we know that in those moments of struggle, we are forced to turn to Christ and rely on his strength. This is the unexpected path, the one Jesus himself walked: the cross comes before the crown.

Because of what Jesus did, all his followers will live eternally with him. Those who do not follow him will suffer separation from him forever. So, what are you willing to suffer in order to follow him? It is a simple equation. Lose him and you lose everything. Follow him at all costs. Carry whatever burden you must. Put up with whatever ridicule you must. Pass by whatever temporary pleasure you must. Follow him. Because when Jesus leads you to the glory of heaven you will exclaim, “It was worth it!”

Prayer:
Lord Jesus, I thank you that you valued me enough to suffer so much to save me. Amen.
