St Mark Lutheran Church

St Mark Lutheran Church St Mark Lutheran Church (WELS) strives by God's grace to be a congregation that is Christ-centered Eternal life in heaven belongs to all who believe in him.

We are:
Christ-centered: We believe that Jesus Christ is the only Son of God, who offered his life as a sacrifice for the sins of the world and then boldly rose from the dead on Easter. Confessional: We believe that God has preserved and passed down to us a precious heritage from the Reformation. So we believe that the Lutheran Confessions are correct and tru in their exposition of God's Word. Com

mitted: We believe that the Holy Spirit has not promised to create and strengthen faith in any other way than through his Word and the Sacraments. We are committed to upholding the Bible as 100% inspired without mistake or error. Compelled: We believe that Chrsit's love compels us our actions of thanksgiving and gratitude. So we worship our God regularly. We come together to study his Word in formal Christian education. We share our faith with the people around us. In fact, God's people strive to do all "for the glory of God" (I Corinthians 10:31).

If you would like to take communion but are unable or struggle with coming up to the altar, Pastor Lindke is more than happy to bring communion to you in your seat. If you require gluten-free wafers, they are available upon request. If you are interested in either of these, please talk with the Pastor or one of the Elders before worship.

If you have been away from church during communion Sundays, or unable to leave the house due to illness, injury, surgery, or otherwise?and wish to partake, please speak with the Pastor and set up an appointment. He is very happy to do home devotions by appointment as well.

Each week, Pastor Lindke distributes an email featuring a brief message along with one or two announcements, accompanied by the bulletin and sermon in PDF format. This enables you to stay connected, whether at home or while traveling during the summer. Did your children keep you too occupied to fully grasp the sermon? Not to worry! Our services remain accessible for several weeks, allowing you to watch or listen at your convenience. You can find them on our page and tune in to the livestream during our Sunday morning services at 9:15 AM (summer schedule).

If you are not receiving these emails and wish to please send us a message or speak to Pastor.

Heavenly Father,

Bless all fathers as they nurture their families. Grant them strength and wisdom, tenderness, and patience. Support them in their important work, protecting those who rely on them, just as we turn to You for love and salvation, through Jesus Christ, our rock and defender.

Amen.

WELS Military Services uses referrals to maintain contact and offer spiritual resources to the men and women who are serving their country. It’s estimated that more than 1,500 WELS members are in the U.S. military, at U.S. installations and overseas, though only about 20 percent of them are referred for ministry at this crucial time in life. Part of the plan to reach all WELS military personnel is making the referral form easier to find and to submit names. Military-specific devotions are also offered weekly on wels.net or via email.

Pastor Lindke recently learned about a program from our WELS Kingdom Workers known as Jesus Cares Ministry. This initiative focuses on individuals with IDD (Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities) and their families. The Evangelism committee, in collaboration with the Elders, has decided to explore the possibility of implementing this program here at St. Mark.

On June 21st, Pastor Feldhaus will guide us in worship and provide an overview of what his service will entail. Following the service, there will be a sign-up sheet for anyone interested in volunteering. We anticipate needing about one to two hours of assistance each month from those who choose to participate. Please keep this vital ministry in your hearts and prayers.

Despite a separation of thousands of years and miles, we’re much more like them than we first realize. This summer, you’re invited to join Women’s Ministry for an online Bible study focusing on “Our Bible Sisters.” Throughout this five-week series, we’ll look at more than just the heroic actions of biblical women. We’ll also consider how our unchanging God met these flawed, real women in their daily struggles and learn to find his grace, faithfulness, and purpose in our own daily realities. Please join us this summer as we get to know five of our Bible sisters better!

The study is offered twice each week—8:00 a.m. (Central) on Saturday mornings and 7:00 p.m. (Central) on Monday evenings—starting July 11.

We aim to keep it well-stocked to the best of our abilities, and we are always on the lookout for items to help maintain its supply.
