Hey, cpKIDS Families!!

We can't wait to see you tonight for our Fall Carnival!
Family participation is strongly encouraged. Please attend and stay with your child(ren) tonight. (This is not a normal J.A.M. night.)
🎃 WHAT TO EXPECT:
DOORS OPEN: At 5:45p, Event ENDS at 7:00p
FOOD WINDOW is open all night. Stop and grab some grub! Hot dogs, nachos/cheese, popcorn, Fall treats, lemonade, cold apple c***r, etc. You can grab a spot at our dining station, have a bite, and go back to visiting our game stations.
TRICK OR TREATING throughout the Fellowship Hall and Kids Wing! Each decorated booth may have a game you can stop and play to win prizes or treats! Feel free to visit a game station more than once after you make it through them all.
DISMISSAL: Leaving is at your discretion tonight. Once you and your kids have made your way through the stations and had something to eat, you can head out when you feel ready.

This random Sunday evening devotion couples perfectly with today’s Communion meditation… if you didn’t get a chance to listen to today’s sermon, you are encouraged to do so when it works for you, but for now, we hope you will read this devotion written by a modern day legend in the faith, Joni Eareckson Tada, from her newest devotion book: Keeping Faith When Life Hurts.

It’s titled, “Be Engaged!”
Key Verse to Read: Philippians 2:12-15

“If I were to follow the advice of “let go and let God,” I’d be letting myself off the hook. A hands-off approach to my walk with Christ has never gotten me anywhere. God played the key role in my justification, and I have the responsibility to play the key role in my sanctification. These verses call me to be actively engaged in my own salvation as I “work it out with fear and trembling.“ Why the fear and trembling? If I become spiritually lazy – not praying or reading the Bible much, nor witnessing or trusting God when I should – I am making light of the Blood that Jesus shed for my redemption. I want to have a healthy fear of offending God and a righteous respect of what my salvation cost the Lord Jesus. You have a responsibility to actively pursue the person God designed you to be. The perfect “you“ is that glorious saint you will become in heaven, and you’re called to step daily into that image. God has purchased you, and he is asking you today to be actively engaged in your own sanctification – You will have strength to accomplish this because it will be God who will be working in you to act according to His good purpose. Take a bold step toward your sanctification today, and let God take care of the transformation of your character.”
