Dear God, thank You for this day and for a salvation that has nothing to do with how good I’ve been or how hard I’ve tried. Your word in Romans 10:9 says, “If you declare with your mouth Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” God, I confess that Jesus is Lord and I believe it with everything in me. I’m done trying to earn what You’ve already freely given me through faith. Help me stop striving for a righteousness I could never produce on my own and just receive what You’ve already provided. Once I have it, let my life and my words point everyone around me straight back to You. Thank You for a grace I could never deserve but get to live in every single day. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

But to him who does not work but believes on Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness. -Romans 4:5

Dear God, thank You for bringing me through another day. As I get ready to rest tonight, I just want to say thank You for everything. Thank You for my health, for the ability to walk, to see, and to breathe. Your word in Psalm 103:2-3 says, “Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits, who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases.” God, I don’t want to close out this day without recognizing how much I take for granted, a roof over my head, food to eat, and breath in my lungs. You provide for me and protect me not because I deserve it, but because of Your grace and mercy. Every time I’ve faced something hard, You’ve been the source of my strength to push through, and You’ve always come through. Thank You for all that You’ve done, all that You’re doing, and everything that’s still to come. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Jesus went on to say, “In a little while you will see me no more, and then after a little while you will see me.” -John‬ ‭16‬:‭16‬

Dear God, thank You for this new week and for being so faithful every single day of my life. Your word in Deuteronomy 28:12 says, “The Lord will open the heavens, the storehouse of His bounty, to send rain on your land in season and bless all the work of your hands. You will lend to many nations but will borrow from none.” God, I’m standing on that promise as I step into this week. My eyes may see what I don’t have, but my faith sees a God who is bigger than any financial struggle, any broken relationship, and any obstacle in front of me. I’m praising You in advance for the breakthroughs and blessings that are coming, because You’ve shown up over and over again and I know You’ll do it again. I’m walking into this week holding Your hand through it all. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

The Lord will command the blessing on you in your storehouses and in all to which you set your hand, and He will bless you in the land which the Lord your God is giving you. -Deuteronomy 28:8

Jesus Gives True Rest
Matthew 11:25 At that time Jesus answered and said, “I thank You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and prudent and have revealed them to babes. 26 Even so, Father, for so it seemed good in Your sight. 27 All things have been delivered to Me by My Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father. Nor does anyone know the Father except the Son, and the one to whom the Son wills to reveal Him. 28 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”✝️

In the matter of determination. The Spirit of Jesus is put into me by way of the atonement by the Cross of Christ. I then have to build my thinking patiently to bring it into perfect harmony with my Lord. God will not make me think like Jesus— I have to do it myself. I have to bring “every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ” (2 Corinthians 10:5). “Abide in Me”— in intellectual matters, in money matters, in every one of the matters that make human life what it is. Our lives are not made up of only one neatly confined area.

Dear God, thank You for bringing me through another day. As I get ready to rest tonight, I exalt Your holy name and praise You for a love that knows no bounds. Your word in Lamentations 3:22-23 says, “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.” God, I’m surrendering everything that’s been weighing on my soul tonight and laying it all at Your feet. Break every chain that’s been trying to hold me back, and as I sleep, release Your favor over my life so that I wake up tomorrow in the right place at the right time. I trust that only You know what tomorrow holds, so I’m giving it completely to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Oh, satisfy us early with Your mercy, that we may rejoice and be glad all our days. -Psalm 90:14

Dear God, thank You for this new day and for being the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. As I step into this day, I’m asking You to open my eyes to everything that’s been pulling me back and hurting my walk with You. Your word in Job 11:13-14 says, “If you prepare your heart, you will stretch out your hands toward Him. If iniquity is in your hand, put it far away.” God, if there’s sin in my hands or anything I’ve allowed in my life that shouldn’t be there, I’m surrendering it to You right now. Help me take off every unnecessary weight that’s been slowing me down and give me the grace to stand strong and resist every temptation I face today. My eyes are fixed on You, Jesus, the author and finisher of my faith. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us. -Hebrews 12:1

So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him.”
