How wonderful to know people we can trust. In a world of uncertainty and selfishness, such relationships are precious. Even so, the Bible teaches us ultimate trust can and should be placed in God. “Preserve me, O God: for in thee do I put my trust.” Psalms 16:1. This is apparent when studying this week’s Christian Science Bible Lesson. “All that is made is the work of God, and all is good. The divine Mind maintains all identities, from a blade of grass to a star, as distinct and eternal. In divine Science, man is sustained by God, the divine Principle of being. Let us feel the divine energy of Spirit, bringing us into newness of life and recognizing no mortal nor material power as able to destroy.” “O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusts in him.” Psalms 34:8
Grow your trust in God by studying this week’s Bible Lesson at the Christian Science Reading Room, 14 SW Nye St in Newport, open Monday through Thursday 11:30 to 1:30 pm, or hear it read aloud Sunday mornings at church services at 10 am at Christian Science Society at the same location. You will be inspired by what you learn. The Lesson is based on thoughtfully selected passages from the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. Everyone is welcome.
