It’s time for our weekly devotional….

𝑮𝒓𝒐𝒘𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒊𝒏 𝑭𝒂𝒊𝒕𝒉: 𝑻𝒉𝒐𝒖𝒈𝒉𝒕𝒔 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝑻𝒐𝒅𝒂𝒚

Do your prayers reign down from Heaven or do they just set off the ceiling sprinklers? In other words, do you approach God with unwavering faith, believing He can accomplish anything, or do you approach Him with a sense of feeling drowned in resignation, hoping He hears your prayers? Do you realize that God has an insurmountable strength and an unbelievable power to make things happen for you? Then act like it when you pray. Don’t approach Jesus with slouched posture and a slight possibility that maybe He will answer you sometime in the distant future. “You have not come to a mountain that can be touched and that is burning with fire; to darkness, gloom and storm…” (Hebrews‬ ‭12‬:‭18‬)
With the authority that Jesus has given you, wrapped in humble adoration, approach God face-to-face with your prayers. The Holy Spirit that Jesus has deposited within your heart, mind, and soul should enable you to stand taller and be confident that when you speak, God listens. In fact, God’s word says that all of Heaven is present. “But you have come to Mount Zion, to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem. You have come to thousands upon thousands of angels in joyful assembly” (Hebrews 12:22). Prayer is not the time to stand at the back of the room, hoping to be noticed. Simply put, prayer is the time to rise up with intent fervor and present your requests to the God whose voice is all-powerful, like the sound of rushing waters. (Rev 1:15b) Have you ever stopped to think about the imagery and sound of rushing waters? The sound can be deafening, but the beautiful imagery alone demands undeniable attention to its sheer force. This is the absolute picture of God in all His authority. This is the God whose face reflects His majesty and the Shekinah glory like the sun shining in all its power at midday (Rev 1:16b). Yet, this is also your Father, who gently says, “Do not be afraid; I am the First and the Last and the Ever-living One…” (Rev 1:17b, 18a).
With every ounce of love for you, God doesn’t want you to approach His throne of grace with fear or defeat. He wants you to know that He alone holds the keys to victory as you seek Him face to face. God will always take the time to lay down His agenda and listen to your voice with understanding and compassion. He will consider your words and take your feelings into account. He will do everything within His will to make your life better. So, stand tall at the front of the room, don’t slouch, and by declaration, make your requests known to God. Put your hope in His strength and your faith in His promises, with unwavering belief in His power. “This is the remarkable degree of confidence that we as believers are entitled to have before Him: that if we ask anything according to His will, that is, consistent with His plan and purpose, He hears us.” (1 John 5:14)

“And when you have finished the whole fight, you will still be standing.”
Eph 6‬:‭13‬ ‭
A verse with a powerful presence, a direct statement of strength, and an undeniable truth. It displays confidence and security in the One who gives you the ability to believe in the fact that what He states, inherently says, “it will happen”. This fact is a piece of evidence containing excellence and quality, matching no other. Within this, one word stands out as invaluable: quality. Did you know that the word “quality” is divided into three related categories: completeness, correctness, and clarity? So, how does this relate to God’s Word? Since God is truth, His Word sets the standard, holding ultimate judgment and authority over all aspects of life. To ensure its validity in quality, as mentioned in an online article from MIOsoft, you must envision how these qualities fit together. The key idea is to imagine that your data (God’s Word) contains pieces like a puzzle, and to extract its value, you must assemble the puzzle, measuring the quality against the three categories: completeness, correctness, and clarity.
▫️Completeness: do all the pieces of the puzzle contain all the data you need?
▫️Correctness: does the data reflect characteristics suitable for usage?
▫️Clarity: is the relationship of the data relevant to you, does it connect to you?
When you’re trying to assess data quality, the MIOsoft experts point out that there’s ample guidance available. However, in the Bible, Psalms 32:8, it emphasizes that God serves as your guiding light: “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.” Therefore, trusting in His guidance, measure the data from Ephesians 6:13 within these 3 categories to see if God’s Word has qualitative authority and adds value to your life:
▫️Completeness: does this verse have all the data you need?
▫️Correctness: does this verse reflect characteristics suitable for usage?
▫️Clarity: does this verse have data that is relevant to you, does it connect to you?
If you have faith, believe in the truth and Word of God, and answered “yes” to all three categories, then according to these parameters, it can be determined that God’s Word is conclusive to the quality of your relationship with Him. God’s Word is powerful, complete, and accurate. The clarity of His word will be your strength, so whatever you may be facing right now, focus on God’s promise and the fact that was discussed earlier: what He says, will happen. “Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power…and when you have finished the whole fight, you will still be standing.” Eph 6:10,13

When you finally see Jesus face to face and He asks you,
“Why should I let you in?”

…It’s not about what you’ve done. It’s about what He’s done!

What will you say? Just for thought, how about something like,
“You saved my life”
“You called my name”
“You are the one true God”
“You are the Savior of the world”
And maybe follow it up with something like, “thank you”

Aligning your faith with God’s promises is not about creating a new reality. It’s about declaring what He has already established in you. It’s about what God has promised in His Word, to help you live out the best life possible with the guidance He gives you. It’s about expressing your trust in Him so that it helps uplift you and see you through whatever you face in life. Making a declaration can give you an unshakeable foundation as you affirm what you believe within the hope that He has given you. So with unyielding faith, unshakeable hope and abiding trust, know it to be true and declare it to your heart and mind that Jesus is your way, your truth, your life.

▫️ Jesus, when I can’t figure it out myself, You are my answer, You are my encourager, You are my supporter and you are my guide. Jesus, by faith you make me whole. 2Cor 5:7 “for we walk by faith, not by sight [living our lives in a manner consistent with our confident belief in God’s promises]—”

▫️ Jesus, I rely on your power rather than my own human strength. Within our relationship, you bring a safe and steadfast hope to my heart. You bring confidence when life is difficult and You bring the promise that I am never alone. Hebrews‬ ‭6‬:‭19‬a “This hope [this confident assurance] we have as an anchor of the soul [it cannot slip and it cannot break down under whatever pressure bears upon it]…”

▫️ Jesus I trust in your timing. When things seem unclear, You bring an ultimate plan even if I can’t see immediate results. You are in control and You are faithful. I rest in Your ability to handle it all. I stand up with belief that you are always good, always loving, always just and always reliable. Psalms 27:15. “Wait for and confidently expect the Lord; Be strong and let your heart take courage; Yes, wait for and confidently expect the Lord.”

▫️ Jesus, I declare these words, which I believe today, in Psalms 91:2, “I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, My God, in whom I trust [with great confidence, and on whom I rely]!”” ‬ As I align my faith, hope and trust within all of Your promises I will not grow weary, I will not be faint, I will walk and not grow tired and I shall write them on the doorpost of my house and on my gate. Amen.
